Suffer From Snoring? This New Doctor Trusted Solution Stops Snoring and Lets You Sleep

If you constantly feel exhausted, experience headaches for no obvious reason or have high blood pressure, it could be the result of snoring.

More than a simple annoyance, snoring is also the most common symptom of a potentially serious health problem—obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).

Over 18 million Americans snore, and it’s related to OSA. People who suffer from OSA repeatedly and unknowingly stop breathing during the night due to a complete or partial obstruction of their airway. It occurs when the jaw, throat, and tongue muscles relax, blocking the airway used to breathe. The resulting lack of oxygen can last for a minute or longer, and occur hundreds of times each night.

OSA has been linked to:

Acid reflux
Frequent nighttime urination
Memory loss
Stroke
Depression
Diabetes
Heart attack
People over 35 are at higher risk.

OSA can be expensive to diagnosis and treat — up to $5,000 — and those treatments can sometimes be quite painful. Plus, they're not always covered by insurance.

However, a recent study published by Eastern Virginia Medical School's Division of Sleep Medicine concluded that wearing a simple chinstrap while sleeping can be an effective treatment for OSA.

The chin strap, which is now available from a company called MySnoringSolution, works by supporting the lower jaw and tongue, preventing obstruction of the airway. It’s made from a high-tech, lightweight, and super-comfortable material. Thousands of people have used the MySnoringSolution chinstrap and reported better sleeping, and better health overall because of it.

China accuses Alibaba of selling fake goods
Beijing: Chinese regulators have accused e-commerce giant Alibaba of allowing sales of fake and shoddy goods and other mismanagement in a report that was withheld until now to avoid disrupting its U.S. stock market debut.

The report on Wednesday by China’s industrial regulator said Alibaba allowed unlicensed merchants to use its sales platforms and failed to protect consumers’ rights adequately.

The report was the result of a meeting in July but said it was withheld to avoid affecting progress toward Alibaba’s stock market listing in New York. The company went public in September after raising a record $25 billion in an initial public stock offering.

An Alibaba spokesman said the company was preparing a public statement about the report.

Royal Challengers Bangalore Star Yuvraj Singh Says Defeat vs Rajasthan Royals 'Hurting'

Yuvraj Singh, whose brilliant all-round show for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Rajasthan Royals went in vain, feels bowlers faltered at crucial juncture.

Yuvraj Singh was left bitterly disappointed after Royal Challengers Bangalore lost to Rajasthan Royals in a thrilling Indian Premier League contest at home on Sunday night. In a stunning chase, James Faulkner and Steven Smith produced 85 runs off 32 balls for the sixth wicket to sn**ch one of the most memorable wins of this year's league. Rajasthan's five-wicket win left Yuvraj and RCB completely shattered. (Kohli Blames Bowlers For Loss)

Yuvraj has more reasons to feel gutted. He scored a career-best 83 off 38 balls and went on to take four wickets for 35 but could not stop his team from losing a high-scoring contest that for most times seemed to be in RCB's grip. Chasing a daunting 191, the Australian duo of Faulkner and Smith scored the last 65 runs off just 17 balls to help Rajasthan win with seven balls to spare. (Rajasthan Steal Yuvraj's Thunder)

"We didn't bowl well at the death...we didn't bowl our yorkers well. It is unfortunate that we couldn't bowl one good over," Yuvraj lamented during a post-match chat at Chinnaswany Stadium. India pacer Varun Aaron went for 41 runs in 2.5 overs while Ashok Dinda and Mitchell Starc conceded 37 and 33 runs, respectively, in their three overs each.

"That the nature of the game. Smith and Faulkner are dangerous players and they got them (Rajasthan) over the line. Either you appreciate what they did or look back at what your bowlers did. (Simply) it's quite disappointing and hurting as well and so we have to accept it," said Yuvraj, whose disappointment reflected in the way he spoke.

"We were aware of who is going to bowl at the death. One day they will win you a game and one day, when you don't have your plans in place, it will hurt you because that's the way T20 goes. You have to accept it," he added.

Sixth in the standings after their sixth defeat in nine matches, RCB have to win all their remaining matches to stay in contention for a last-four berth. "We played our hearts out but we faltered in the end. It's tough for us now. (In) the next four-five games, we have to be positive. We have the potential to win every game from here but have to take one game at a time and win it," said Yuvraj, the costliest player of the IPL bought at a record price of Rs 14 crore at the February auctions.

Racism in Bangalore again: Former cop's daughter attacked by 'burkha-clad' women

The image of India's I-T capital Bangalore as 'one of the most cosmopolitan cities' has taken yet another hit.
Just two months after a 26-year-old engineering student was beaten up by a group of men who reportedly abused and then attacked him for not speaking Kannada, another alleged racial attack has been reported from the city.
According to a report in Bangalore Mirror, former city police commissioner HT Sangliana's daughter, Rachel, was allegedly assaulted and racially abused by two women at a supermarket in the city.

The 34-year-old was shopping in a supermarket when she objected to a couple trying to cut her off in the queue. The burkha-clad woman then started abusing Rachel in Urdu and then yelled at her saying she should "go back to China."
The woman then started hitting her while the people in the supermarket just stood and stared, reported the newspaper.
Rachel reportedly called the police, but before they could arrive, another woman along with the first woman came and attacked Rachel. "They grabbed my hair and pulled out clumps of it, injuring my scalp," she told Mirror.

Very Few Safety Promises Kept, Recounts This Cab Driver in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: After the r**e of a woman allegedly by a cab driver in Delhi, safety concerns have once again surfaced among working women. And by the account of a former call centre driver in Bangalore, many promises are made in the companies but very few are kept.

"Only very few companies have the GPS system, many do not. And I can tell you not a single cab at least in Bengaluru call centres have cameras," said Nagesh, who worked at a call centre in Bangalore for seven years.

"Yes, there are escorts. That is there across companies. After 12 am someone will join to drop back till the last lady is dropped off. But these are escorts who do not know routes, because many are from other states. If we change the route, they do not come to know," he added saying these rules were made in 2005 when call centre employee Pratibha Murthy was r**ed and murdered in Bengaluru, but very few companies follow these.

Nagesh also pointed out that it is very easy to get a driver's job at a call centre. "There is no interview. They check only driving licence and other documents. That is priority for them," he said.

"We need more policemen on roads. After 12 am there is no one," Nagesh said.

Research done by ASD Foundation shows that 73 per cent of women in urban centres in India feel unsafe to travel back home after the graveyard or overnight shift. "What I usually do is to fake a call to my mom after a board a cab if it is too late and tell her number, and route so that the driver feels someone is aware of my movements," said Micheal D'souza, a young IT employee.

Now, land mafia targets Bangalore University campus

Cuts trees, carries out levelling work; the varsity brass has alerted the police

The sprawling Bangalore University's Jnana Bharathi campus spread across 1,100 acres, one of the few surviving lung spaces in Bengaluru, has been constantly a soft target for poachers and sandalwood smugglers. Now it is being targeted by land grabbers.

Miscreants recently bulldozed and damaged demarcation stones inside the social forest under Bangalore University. With this first attempts at land grab by rich realtors, BU brass have alerted the police and decided to conduct a survey of the university land.

A few people, who barged into the social forest attached to the university campus abutting NGEF layout on November 8, November 9 and November 16, claimed to be owners of the land and cut trees and plants and levelled the land, said residents who opposed the entrants.

"The land has been under the university for decades. However, unusual activities have started of late, more so since the last 15 days as land grabbers seem to have set their eyes on the area. They came in large numbers and cut trees. When questioned, they claimed the land was their private property. Immediately, we informed the vice-chancellor and the local police," a resident of NGEF layout told Bangalore Mirror.

The first group entered the forest/university campus, which is also attached to ISEC (Institute for Social and Economic Change), last Saturday. The day being the second Saturday, a government holiday, local residents grew suspicious. Those who entered the area used chains and marked boundaries. When asked whether they had permission to do so, they had no answer. The issue will be brought to the forest department's notice, residents said.

"We had planted several saplings around as it's a forest and protected area. Upon questioning the private people who were cutting trees inside without permission, they claimed two acres in the vicinity belonged to them. They cut plantations and also levelled the ground including that abutting the Vrushbhavati that flows inside the campus. Though they claimed that two acres belonged to them, they cut trees and saplings on an area covering more than two acres. It was all done illegally, trespassing government land," a resident said.

Bangalore University brass who came to know of the happenings alerted the police immediately. Bangalore University vice-chancellor B Thimme Gowda said the university would act tough against any illegal encroachments.

"The issue has come to my notice. Some people had come to me with some papers claiming the land to be theirs. The papers showed the transfer of land between two or three people. We told them it will be verified. I have asked the surveyor to survey the land. I have also told the police about it. We are yet to know if these papers are fabricated or genuine. We are verifying these. I'm told that the land in question belonged to NGEF layout in the past, and was then transferred to BDA for formation of a park. The question is how some individuals can claim government land as their own. All aspects are being looked into. We have asked the surveyor to study the land and the police to remove all encroachments. Some people are trying to create trouble, which won't be tolerated. Government land will be protected and fenced," Thimme Gowda said.
