Quds day was marked with a peaceful march from AMU Jama Masjid to the Baabe Syed after the Juma prayers in which people from all communities participated without the distinction of religion or region.
Imam Khomeini(r.a) called the Muslims as well as the human beings all over the world to mark the last friday of the holy month of Ramadan as Quds day. He called for the freedom of Masjid al Aqsa (Qibla e Awwal) and the end of the Israeli oppression on the Palestinian people. He called it a global anti terrorist day in which the oppressed people all over the world should unite against the oppressors.
Mazin Husain, former VP of the AMUSU called for the unity among muslims and asked the gathered people not to forget the oppressed people in their prayers. He also appealed to boycott Israeli products to weaken Israeli terrorism. Maulana Zahid Hussain also emphasised on the uniting against the evil forces.
A memorandum was submitted to the administration addressed to the General secretary of the UNO in which an appeal was made to help the Palestinians and other oppressed people from the threat of terrorism.
