A meeting with all Hon’ble Members of the Paschim Tripura Zilla Parishad was held on 21st August 2026 in the office chamber of the Hon’ble Sabhadhipati (I/C), Shri Biswajit Shil, to discuss the formulation and implementation of the District Panchayat Development Plan (DPDP) under the 16th Finance Commission for the financial year 2026–27.
The meeting focused on detailed discussions and exchange of views on various key developmental priorities, with the objective of making the district’s development process more dynamic, systematic, inclusive and people-centric.

A Review Meeting was held today on 13th August , 2026 at Mohinipur GP chaired by the Hon'ble Sabhadhipati (I/C) PTZP with the respected ERs of the PTZP, respected Pradhan, Upa-Pradhan, other ERs of concerned GP, Dy. A team from Paschim Tripura Zilla Parishad, under the leadership of the Hon’ble Sabhadhipati (I/C) , Shri Biswajit Shil, visited Ananganagar Gram Panchayat under Bamutia R.D. Block on 12th August 2026, which have received nomination for the National Panchayat Awards (NPA)–2026.

On 11th August 2026, a team from Paschim Tripura Zilla Parishad, under the leadership of the Hon’ble Sabhadhipati (I/C) , Shri Biswajit Shil, visited East Barjala Gram Panchayat and East Debendranagar Gram Panchayat under Jirania R.D. Block, which have received nomination for the National Panchayat Awards (NPA)–2026.

The visit focused on reviewing the preparations for the NPA–2026 assessment.

A comprehensive Review Meeting was also held at those GPs chaired by the Hon'ble Sabhadhipati (I/C), PTZP with the respected ERs of the concerned GPs, District Panchayat Officer, West Tripura District, BDO of Jirania RD Block and officials from various line departments to assess progress, coordinate efforts and ensure effective preparedness.

The following GPs under West Tripura District has been nominated for consideration for the "National Panchayat Awards 2026":

A review meeting under the chairmanship of the Hon’ble Sabhadhipati (I/C), Paschim Tripura Zilla Parishad, was held on 03rd August 2026 at the Conference Hall of the DM & Collector, West Tripura.
The meeting focused on reviewing and assessing the progress of various developmental and departmental activities in West Tripura District, with participation from officials of the Forest, Agriculture, Animal Resources Development and Fisheries Departments, including concerned officials of TTAADC (West Zone).
The meeting emphasized better coordination among departments, timely implementation of developmental initiatives, and strengthening efforts towards inclusive and sustainable development in the district.
