"אני אלון, אני מפתח תוכנה בחברת Wix, ובמהלך השנה וחצי האחרונות מתנדב בארגון קרבי-טק שעוזר לחיילים משוחררים משירות קרבי להתברג בתעשיית ההייטק.
העזרה שאני מציע נוגעת בכמה נושאים- ראשית, להציג איך נראת העבודה בהייטק מהזווית שלי ולהיכנס למשימות וכלים חיוניים. שנית, בניית תוכנית על סמך הכישורים הקיימים והנדרשים כדי להתאים לתפקיד הרצוי. הנושא השלישי הוא מפגשי לימוד על נושאים טכנולוגיים ועזרה בתרגול פרוייקטים אישיים, והרביעי הוא כתיבת קו״ח והתכוננות לראיונות עבודה.
לדעתי, החיבור האנושי הוא הדבר הכי חשוב בתהליך. אני אוהב להרגיש קודם כל חבר ורק אז מדריך מקצועי, ותמיד אשמח לשבת לבירה/קפה וסתם לדבר.
התהליך שלי עם המנטי היה בנוי מפגישה שבועית בזום, כאשר המטרה הייתה מציאת עבודה. לאחר שמצאנו אנחנו ממשיכים במסגרת קלילה יותר של מפגש אחת לשבועיים-שלושה וכמובן שאני תמיד כאן לייעוץ או סתם לדבר🙂"
המנטי של אלון מספר: "לפני ה-7 באוקטובר עבדתי כבודק תכנה בבארי. כשהתחילה המלחמה, הבנתי שאני צריך להתקדם והייתי זקוק לעזרה בהכרת עולם בדיקת התוכנה לעומק. החיבור עם אלון היה מאוד זורם, אלון אדם מאוד נעים, איכפתי ובעל ידע רב. הוא עזר לי להיכנס לעולם, הכווין אותי ותמך. לאחרונה קיבלתי עבודה בחברת הייטק מצויינת, והרבה מזה – בזכות אלון והליווי ב"בראשית"."

"My name is Alon, I'm a software developer at Wix, and for the past year and a half I've been volunteering at a Combat-Tech organization that assists combat veterans to become active in the high-tech sector.
The assistance I offer touches on several areas-Firstly, I present what work looks like in the hi-tech industry, and delve into essential tools. Secondly, it involves building a plan based on existing skills and those required to fit the desired role. The third aspect includes study sessions on technological topics and assistance with practicing personal projects. The fourth aspect relates to resume writing and interview preparation.
For me, human connection is the most important thing in the process. I prefer to feel like a friend before being a professional guide. I'm always happy to sit down for a beer\coffee and just talk.
My process with the mentee was structured around weekly Zoom meetings while the goal was to find a job, and once we found one, we continued with a lighter framework of meetings every two-three weeks. Of course, I'm always here for advice or just to talk.”
Alon's mentee describes: "Before October 7th, I worked as a software tester in Be'eri. After the war started, I realized that I needed to move forward and I needed help in getting to know the world of software testing in depth. The connection with Alon was very smooth- Alon is a very pleasant, caring, and knowledgeable person. He helped me integrate into the world, guided and supported me. Recently, I got a job at an excellent tech company, and much of it is thanks to Alon and the guidance in "Genesis"."

אני עדן, בוגרת תואר לכלכלה ומנהל עסקים ואני אחראית ההכשרות של פרויקט "בראשית".

במסגרת תפקידי אני עוסקת בהדרכות הפרויקט - הוצאה לפועל של קורסים והכשרות, ומעקב מול הגופים שלוקחים בהם חלק.
האתגר המרכזי שלי בתפקיד הוא יצירת קשר עם קהל היעד הנכון בזמן הרלוונטי, והמשך פעולה לפי הביקוש הגדול ביותר.
אני מקווה שנצליח להתאים את עצמנו בצורה המדויקת ביותר לקהל שלנו, לתת סיוע בצורה מיטבית, ובכך להגיע לכמה שיותר אנשים שצריכים אותנו.
אני מאחלת בהצלחה לכל המשתתפים בפרויקט המדהים הזה, הפונים, הצוות, המרצים והמנטורים.

As part of my job, I facilitate the training. This includes conducting courses and training programs, and following up with those who attend.

אני רום, סטודנטית שנה ד' לפסיכולוגיה ומנהל עסקים, ואני אחראית המנטורים של "בראשית".

בחרתי לקחת חלק בפרויקט לאחר שחיפשתי התנדבות בה אוכל לתרום באופן משמעותי, והחמ"ל נשמע לי כמו מסגרת בה היכולות שלי יבואו לידי ביטוי בצורה הטובה ביותר.
אני אחראית על מעקב כלל תהליכי המאצ'מייקינג שהנאמנים שלנו מבצעים – חיבור בין פונה למנטור. במסגרת התפקיד שלי אני דואגת לספק למנטורים מעטפת תומכת לתהליך המנטורינג ולייצר קשר של הפריה הדדית, יחד עם שימור הקשר הישיר שלהם עם החמ"ל.
החמ"ל מבוסס כולו על הון אנושי, החל מהנאמנים שלנו ועד המאצ'ים שאנחנו מייצרים בהתאמה אישית, דבר שהופך את התהליך לאיכותי ביותר. אנחנו מנצלים את הייחודיות של כל נאמן עסקי לטובת הפרויקט, משקיעים מאמץ רב להכיר את הפונים שלנו וצרכיהם, לייצר נטוורקינג רחב ומגוון, להכיר כל אחד ואחת מהמנטורים שלנו ועל בסיס זה יוצרים התאמות מבוססות מחשבה.

במסגרת הפרויקט יצרנו לא מעט התאמות מוצלחות ומרגשות ואני מאמינה שנמשיך ליצור השפעה אמיתית בעזרת חיבורים איכותיים, השקעה ומחויבות של כל חברי הצוות.

My name is Rom, I am the mentorship coordinator of “Genesis” and a fourth-year psychology and business administration student.

I chose to take part in the project after looking for a place to volunteer where I could make a significant contribution, and “Genesis” sounded to me like just the environment where my abilities would be best put to use.
I oversee every step of the matchmaking process that our volunteers perform - matching a mentor with an applicant. As part of my responsibilities, I make sure to maintain direct communication between the mentors and the organization, as well as providing them a supportive environment for the mentoring process and fostering a relationship of mutual enrichment.
“Genesis” is built on manpower. It all starts with our volunteers creating matches personally tailored toward the correct mentors, raising the quality of the whole process. We utilize the unique qualities that each volunteer has to the betterment of the initiative, dedicating considerable effort to understand our mentees and their needs, to create a vast and diverse network, and to get to know every mentor individually. Based on this foundation, we make tailored matches.

Through the structure of the initiative, we have created many successful and touching matches and I believe that with the combined effort of our wonderful team members, we will continue to make an impact.

במסגרת שיווק הפרויקט אני אחראית על כל התוכן שמופץ בפלטפורמות השונות, ניהול הסושיאל, המסרים מול הגופים השונים וכתיבת הפוסטים שאתם קוראים כאן (:
אני גאה לקחת חלק בפרויקט שכולו מבוסס על מתנדבים – סטודנטים, מרצים ומנטורים מהתעשייה, שלמרות הלו"ז העמוס שלהם משקיעים מזמנם וממשיכים להתנדב באהבה גדולה. מהר מאוד התחברנו ויצרנו חמ"ל שעובד בהרמוניה, כל אחד עם הטאצ' האישי שלו.
הפרויקט התחיל לתפוס תאוצה מהר מאוד, ולכן האתגר המרכזי שלי בתפקיד הוא ליצור תכנית שיווקית מקיפה תוך כדי פעולה, שתבוא לידי ביטוי בכל הפלטפורמות הרלוונטיות.

Hi, my name is Hadar, I’m the marketing manager for the "Genesis" project and a second-year business administration student, specialising in marketing.

I chose to take part in the project because I saw it as a great opportunity to contribute to an initiative that will influence people's lives both during the war and after.
As part of marketing for the project, I am responsible for all the content that is distributed on the various platforms, managing the social media, conveying messages to different entities as well as writing the posts you see here (:
I am proud to be involved in a project that is entirely based on volunteers - students, lecturers and mentors from the industry, who, despite their busy schedules, are happy to invest their time. We all bonded immediately and created a team that works in harmony, each adding their own personal touch.
As the project quickly gains momentum, my main challenge is to develop an extensive marketing strategy that will be implemented across all relevant channels.

I anticipate a continued growth in the project, and believe that together we have the special strength to make a big impact. 🌟

לפני חודש בדיוק, "בראשית" יצאה לדרך!

התחלנו בתור יוזמה קטנה עם מטרה גדולה, ונוכחנו לראות איך במהרה הפרויקט תפס תאוצה וממשיך לגדול, עם עשרות מתנדבים, מאות מנטורים ואנשי צוות ומרצים שהתגייסו לסייע.

במהלך החודש טיפלנו במאות פניות שונות, בין אם מדובר במפונים, חיילים במילואים, עסקים שנפגעו עקב המלחמה ועוד. כל סיפור הצלחה הוא עולם ומלואו, ומוכיח לנו איך כל עזרה יכולה להיות כל כך משמעותית.

בנוסף, השבוע התחלנו בשיתוף פעולה ייחודי עם קהילת הנובה, שהרחיב את מאגר הפניות שלנו.
אנחנו מתרגשים להתחיל חודש נוסף של פעילות וליצור השפעה בתקופה זו ובעתיד שאחריה.

Exactly one month ago, "Genesis" was launched!

We started as a small initiative with a big goal, and we’re thrilled to see how quickly we’ve gained traction and continue to grow. This could not happen without the dozens of volunteers, hundreds of mentors, staff members and lecturers who stepped up to help.

Throughout the course of this month, we have responded to hundreds of inquiries connected to evacuees, reservists, businesses impacted by the war and more. Each success story means the world and shows us how any help is significant.

We also began a special collaboration with the Nova community this week, greatly growing the number of people we are reaching out to.
We are excited to start another month of meaningful work and making a difference during this difficult time.

אני זוכרת את עצמי סטודנטית ובוגרת צעירה עם רצון גדול להצליח, אך לא תמיד עם ההבנה והכלים למציאת פתרונות לאתגרים שונים. עם השנים והניסיון הבנתי שלפעמים העזרה הכי קטנה היא המשמעותית ביותר, ולכן בחרתי לקחת חלק בפרויקט "בראשית".

אני טהר, יזמת, ומקימת סטארטאפ לאיתור חיות מחמד.

ביום הראשון של המלחמה השותף שלי לסטרטאפ, שהוא גם איש השיווק שלנו, גוייס למילואים לתפקיד קרבי. בעקבות זאת, נקלעתי מהר מאוד לקושי בעסק, בעיקר בפאן השיווקי.

ליטל: "אני מגיעה מעולמות השיווק, הפרסום והפיתוח העסקי כך שאני שמחה לעזור ליזמים ולאנשי שיווק בתחילת דרכם.

החיבור עם טהר היה נהדר, היא הגיעה מאד ממוקדת עם שאלות ואתגרים מוגדרים, מה שעזר להבין אילו חיבורים יכולים להועיל לה."

טהר: "החיבור עם ליטל היה כמו כפפה ליד, היא נתנה לי את ההרגשה שאני לא לבד. יחד בנינו אסטרטגיה, קיבלתי ממנה עצות מעולות והכרחיות, והיא חיברה אותי לאנשים רלוונטים בתעשייה, מה שהיה נחוץ לנו מאוד כיזמים מתחילים. ליטל נתנה לנו בוסט משמעותי והכל התבצע באהבה גדולה – דבר ממש לא מובן מאליו."

When I was a student and a recent graduate, I had a strong desire to succeed but lacked the knowledge or resources needed to overcome certain obstacles. With time and experience, I've come to understand that, occasionally, the tiniest assistance can have the largest impact, particularly during this time.

My name is Tohar, I am an entrepreneur and the founder of a pet tracking startup.

My business partner, who is also our marketing specialist, was called up to the reserves on the first day of the war. Since then, I encountered difficulties mostly in the area of marketing.

התחלנו בקטן והתפתחנו בטווח זמן קצר מאוד, עם יותר מכ-30 נאמנים עסקיים ומאות פניות.
גם השבוע המשכנו במלאכת המאצ'ים, זכינו לשמוע סיפורים מרגשים ונוכחנו למספר סיפורי הצלחה מדהימים.
בנוסף, התחלנו בשיתוף פעולה מיוחד עם קהילת הנובה, ואנו ממשיכים בהערכות לקראת הרחבתו בשבועות הקרובים.
בייחוד עכשיו, בעיצומו של חג החנוכה, אנו מקווים להפיץ אור ותקווה לכמה שיותר אנשים.

It’s already been four weeks since the “Genesis” project started operating!

We began small and quickly grew to receive hundreds of applications and over 30 business trustees.
This week while matchmaking, we heard touching stories from our applicants and bore witness to amazing success stories as well.
Furthermore, we initiated a special partnership with the Nova community, and will be expanding it in the upcoming weeks.
Especially now, at the peak of Hanukkah, we hope to spread light and hope to as many lives as possible.

הכירו את "בראשית" - החמ"ל העסקי!

פרויקט "בראשית" הוקם ע"י בית ספר אריסון למנהל עסקים - אוניברסיטת רייכמן ובית ספר אדלסון ליזמות - Adelson School of Entrepreneurship למען נפגעים מהמלחמה לסיוע בתחום הקריירה והתעסוקה המקצועית, הן בזמן מלחמה והן כהכנה ליום שאחרי.

הפרויקט הוקם מתוך הבנה שהאתגרים העומדים בפנינו לאור המצב שפקד אותנו לא יסתיימו כאן. מעבר לסיוע הראשוני שניתן לנפגעי המלחמה, יש צורך עצום לחשוב קדימה ולהתכונן ליום שאחרי, גם בתחומי התעסוקה.
כדי לתת מענה לצורך זה, הקמנו מערך שלם הכולל חמ"ל עם סטודנטים שהוכשרו לכך ("נאמני עסקים") ועובדים במרץ כל ימות השבוע וכמובן גייסנו מומחים בתעשייה שישמשו כמנטורים עבור אלה המחפשים סיוע עסקי ותעסוקתי.
החמ״ל מטפל בפניות מעסקים קטנים, סטארטאפים, עצמאיים ועובדים המחפשים הכוונה מקצועית.

העשייה שלנו מתמקדת בסיוע אישי במציאת פתרונות למפונים/ עסקים שנפגעו/ חיילים במילואים, ומציעים מנטורינג וליווי עסקי, קורסים והכשרות וסיוע במציאת עבודה.
כחלק מניהול הפרויקט הקמנו מערכי אופרציה, אדמיניסטרציה, שיווק, עיצוב, הכשרות וכו' אשר עובדים במקביל לפעילות הליבה שלנו.

אני יובל, אני סטודנט שנה ג׳ למנהל עסקים ויזמות, ואני אחראי שיתופי הפעולה בפרויקט ״בראשית״.

בחרתי לקחת חלק בפרויקט מאחר ולא זומנתי למילואים בניגוד לחברי, ולכן זו הדרך שלי לתרום מעצמי במצב הנוכחי. התחלתי בהתנדבות בחמ"ל הציוד באוניברסיטה יחד עם יאנה מנהלת "בראשית", והיא הזמינה אותי להצטרף לחמ"ל העסקי.
התפקיד שלי הוא ניהול שיתופי הפעולה החיצוניים של החמ״ל, ופיתוח שת״פים לצורך מתן סיוע לפונים.
הדבר הכי מיוחד בפרויקט הוא כמובן ההתגייסות של כל המתנדבים בחמל למען המטרה, והמחויבות שלהם לתהליך. האתגר המרכזי הוא לנווט בין חוסר הוודאות ולהבין על מה לשים את הפוקוס תוך בזבוז מינימלי של משאבים וזמן.
אני מקווה וצופה שהחמ״ל יצליח לייצר השפעה אמיתית בחיי המון אנשים שסובלים היום כלכלית כתוצאה מהמלחמה – לא רק בתוצאות שנמדדות במספרים אלא גם בתוצאות פרקטיות.
״כל המציל נפש אחת כאילו הציל עולם ומלואו״ - תודה לכל מי שמעורב ונותן מהזמן שלו, כל עזרה היא משמעותית.

My name is Yuval, I'm a third-year business administration and entrepreneurship student, and the partnerships coordinator of the “Genesis” project.
As my way of offering my personal contribution to the current situation, while my friends were called to the reserves, I chose to participate in the “Genesis” project.
Prior to this, I volunteered at the university, sorting and acquiring supplies to be brought to soldiers, together with Yana, the founder of “Genesis”. It was during this time that she invited me to join this project.
My role requires me to manage collaborative efforts and create partnerships with third party companies to bring more opportunities and benefits to our applicants.
What makes our cause special is the amazing volunteers joining us for the sake of an important cause, fully dedicated the process.
All the volunteers coming together for the cause and their dedication to the process is, without a doubt, the most unique aspect of the project. Our main challenge is navigating through uncertainty, deciding where to direct our efforts while minimizing lost time and resources.
I believe that “Genesis” will truly be able to make a difference in the lives of many individuals who are currently struggling financially as a result of the war, not just in terms of measurable results but also in terms of tangible outcomes.
“Every soul saved is as if he saved the entire world” – we give thanks to everyone involved and are giving their time. Everything makes a difference.

שבוע שלישי הסתיים בפרויקט "בראשית", אז מה עשינו השבוע?

אנחנו בחמ"ל העסקי "בראשית" מסייעים לנפגעים מהמלחמה בתחום הקריירה והתעסוקה המקצועית, הן בזמן המלחמה והן כהכנה ליום שאחרי.
במהלך השבוע הנוכחי ביצענו מאצ'ים נוספים בין פונים למנטורים, כל אחד לפי צרכיו האישיים.
בנוסף, המשכנו בבקרה אחר תהליכים קיימים, ונוכחנו למספר סיפורי הצלחה מעוררי השראה, כמו החיבור בין צליל לעומר.
המשכנו בתכניות הכשרה הכוללות הרצאות וסדנאות ממיטב המרצים בתעשייה, כגון ניהול מוצר, בינה מלאכותית בשיווק, חדשנות דיגיטלית בעולם הפיננסים ועוד.
בנוסף, אנו נערכים לקראת שיתופי פעולה חדשים ומרגשים.

The Genisis business center has been live for three weeks!

At the "Genesis" business center, we assist war victims with their careers and jobs, both during the conflict and in the days leading up to it.
Here’s what we’ve accomplished in the past week:
- We’ve made several successful matches between applicants and mentors, based on their individual needs.
- ⁠ We continued monitoring and supporting “matchmaking” success stories, such as that of Zlil and Omer’s.
- ⁠ We presented lectures and workshops on critical and practical business skills, delivered by experts in their fields.
And we’re just getting started! Watch this space for exciting collaborations in the near future.
