Kerry County Council is the local government authority for County Kerry which provides a wide range of services, supports and amenities to the people of the county. These include Housing, Roads, Water Environmental Protection, Planning, Emergency Services and many more. In addition to the three main towns, the towns of An Daingean, Ballybunion, Cahirciveen, Castleisland, Kenmare and Killorglin play a strategic role in servicing their rural catchments as well as supporting and driving the rural economy of the County. Kerry County Council is a vital agent in ensuring that the needs of both rural and urban communities are catered for. Together with our staff, and other agencies, including voluntary and state bodies, Kerry County Council seeks to enhance the quality of life of our people and visitors by building sustainable communities and delivering quality services. The Council provides the proper environment to allow the economic development of the county, with investment in essential infrastructure such as transport and communication links crucial in attracting and encouraging business interests to Kerry.
