I’ve been ignoring all of my other wips and cast on this cosy Doppio last week. I’ve been planning this project since last autumn when Oakwood Knits (Kim) asked if I wanted to do a yarn swap with her; I am so excited to finally be working on it! I’m using Kim’s colourway ‘The Moving Castle’, ‘Winnie’ by Zeezee Textiles | Rachel Shaffer, and my own colourway ‘Gloaming’. All three colourways blend together so beautifully, and I cannot wait to wear this jumper all autumn and winter!

Last call for the National Parks: Ireland and the UK collection ⛰️

It’s surreal to think that I announced this idea as my monthly yarn club nearly three years ago; a lot of hard work has gone into this collection. Tomorrow marks five years of Ballyhoura Fibres, and that is also surreal to think about. I know I sound like a broken record, but I truly cannot thank you all so much! I am so grateful and lucky that I get to make art every day. Here’s to another five years!

There’s only one sleep left until the National Parks: Ireland and the UK collection goes live. I thought now would be the perfect time to share a photo of all 22 parks together! This collection has been in the works for the last three years, and I’m so incredibly proud of it and myself!

The National Parks: Ireland and the UK collection launches tomorrow, the 6th of September, at 8pm Irish Standard Time. The preorder will stay open for two weeks with a turnaround time of eight weeks. All orders will ship by Friday, the 13th of November.
