REMEMBER THE 1981 HUNGER STRIKERS WITH PRIDE! 🇮🇪

Chairde, there's only 5 days to go before the Vol. Logue/Marley Sinn Féin cumann, Cromghlinn, hold another of our annual 1981 commemorative events happening this Saturday, 3rd October in the Transport Club, Crumlin.

As always, we have an excellent speaker to talk to us about the events of 1981 itself, the prison struggle and where we are today because of them!

Our main speaker this year is one of the staunchest Irish republicans we know, Jim 'Jazz' McCann, ex-POW, former Blanketman and 1983 escapee.

So, come along and let's make this one of our biggest annual 1981 events yet. We've had some great interaction and response by locals throughout the year while holding our 1981 Black Flag vigils in the area and by therefore ensuring that the 1981 Hunger Strikers sacrifice is never forgotten.

So, Bígí linn, doors open @ 7pm, Saturday, 3rd October, Transport Club, Crumlin! 🇮🇪

Crumlin Sinn Féin activists, alongside our Dublin South Central elected reps stood outside the GPO today with Dublin comrades and supporters to show solidarity with the residents of the Garvaghy Road.

If there's one thing that is blatantly clear here, it's that the Parades Commission has got this woefully wrong.

There is absolutely no justification for forcing an unwanted Orange march through the Garvaghy Road community after almost three decades of unprecented peace.

The people of the Garvaghy Road know the history of the Orange Order within their community. They know of the hurt, they know of the fear and they know of the division that surrounds these marches. None of this blatant sectarianism should be allowed to be reopened and let crawl back into their peaceful community.

The decent people of the Garvaghy Road deserve respect and they deserve to have their peace protected.

Sinn Féin wholeheartedly stands with the Garvaghy Road community and we will continue to support them in the days ahead.

Our voices are clear, there should be 'No Orange Order On The Garvaghy Road And We Reject Sectarianism In All Its Forms'.

And let's also be clear, Dublin stands in solidarity with the Garvaghy Road residents for a peaceful existence and from every form of sectarianism.

Stand Up Against Sectarianism!
Stand With The Residents Of The Garvaghy Road!
Stand Up For Peaceful Co-Existence!

After 28 years there's only one word that encompasses the woeful decision of the so-called Parades commission and that's blatant 'Sectarianism'. A Sectarian March as witnessed in previous decades being allowed to be foisted on the Garvaghy Road once again by the 'Sectarian' Orange Order!

Bígí linn 12pm outside the GPO and let them know......
No To Sectarianism,
No To Triumphalism and
No To The March On The Garvaghy Road. 🇮🇪

Local Crumlin Sinn Féin activists were out and about today inbetween the heavy showers, updating local residents about the issues raised with Máire Devine Sinn Féin TD. The cost of living crisis and our Sinn Féin budget proposals to remove the burdens placed on families and workers, burdens weighed down with the incompetent governance of this supposed Irish government.

Enough is Enough! Families, workers, our communities deserve better! 🇮🇪

Today is an historic moment as the leaders of Sinn Féin, the SNP and Plaid Cymru come together to stand up for the interests of our nations and their right to independence.

For the first time in history, three nationalist and pro-independence First Ministers now hold office.

Today is a powerful testament to the enormous change, hope and opportunity of the times we are living through.
