Our movie evenings take place on the last Thursday of each month.
These are free events and there is no need to book.

We are absolutely delighted to host a collection of children's books from and about Palestine, in a collaborative initiative led by IBBY UK to honour the voices and cultural heritage of the Palestinian people through children's literature.

The International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) is a non-profit organisation which represents an international network of people from all over the world who are committed to bringing books and children together.

The collection was launched this morning in Tallaght Library by SDCC Mayor Francis Timmons who is pictured with Kathleen and Jane from IBBY, Acting County Librarian Síle Coleman and Branch Manager Liz Corry.

HELLO, tomorrow (Wednesday, 14th October) is celebrated as Lámh Day.

Lámh is Ireland's standardised manual sign system used by children and adults with intellectual disabilities and communication needs. It combines simple hand signs with speech to support communication and understanding.

This year the theme is 'Lámh Connects Us' and Tallaght Library staff would like to connect with you by saying 'HELLO'!
