🐻🍯 Oh, bother… Winnie-the-Pooh is 100! 🎂💛

And what better place to celebrate a century of hunny-loving adventures than the New York Public Library! 📚✨

The The New York Public Library is making this milestone extra special with celebrations across all 88 local branches:

💌 Birthday Mail for Pooh: Drop a birthday card or a heartfelt note into special mailboxes and send a little love to the Hundred Acre Wood!

📚 A Gift for Book Lovers: Thousands of free copies of Winnie-the-Pooh, generously donated by Penguin Random House are being shared at themed library events and parties.

🛍️ Pooh-some Souvenirs: Commemorative centenary merchandise and related books are available at the NYPL flagship Library Shop and online.

A hundred years of friendship, adventures, and timeless wisdom remind us that you’re never too old for a little childhood magic. 💛 And really, as Pooh might say, sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart. 🐝🍯

Happy 100th Birthday, Winnie-the-Pooh! Here’s to a little more wonder, a little more whimsy, and plenty of hunny for everyone! 🎈

Disney wanted to buy the James Bond franchise, nearly purchased Twitter and held talks about merging with Apple, former CEO Bob Iger reveals. https://variety.com/2026/film/news/disney-failed-buy-james-bond-twitter-apple-bob-iger-1236788523/

“We talked about it internally, and we had some conversations with Apple about it, but it never went anywhere. Apple didn’t show that much interest," says Iger about the talks with the tech giant.

Iger also told Financial Times that he was close to buying Twitter from owner Jack Dorsey “at a very attractive price.” The plan was to turn Twitter into a global distribution platform for Disney, but Iger admitted he got cold feet on the morning of the deal and worried it would be “a horrible distraction.” Elon Musk ended up buying Twitter and transforming it into X.
