Уже который год я встречаю его в особом качестве — как academic guardian, сопровождающая детей и их родителей в мире ирландского образования.
Помогать международным семьям осваиваться вдали от дома, быть опорой для ребёнка в новой стране — это не просто работа, а то, что наполняет смыслом каждый учебный год.
Поздравляю всех, кто сегодня начинает новую главу — учеников, родителей, коллег! Пусть этот год будет добрым, ярким и полным открытий.

Что бы ни показали результаты, они не измеряют ни стойкость, ни бессонные ночи, ни тот рост, которого потребовал от вас этот год.
Для меня было честью в этом году быть рядом с потрясающими ребятами — иностранными студентами, которые одновременно сдавали экзамены, новой страной и разлукой с домом.
Я невероятно горжусь каждым из вас.

🍀 Trinity, on the world stage 🍀
This December, Trinity College Dublin’s Old Library — 300 years old, home to the Book of Kells — becomes the setting for Dior’s Fall/Winter 2027 collection. It’s Dior’s first-ever show in Ireland, staged by Jonathan Anderson, one of the most influential designers working today.
Trinity doesn’t need fashion to be world-class. But it’s a striking marker of where the university sits globally — the kind of institution a house like Dior chooses when it wants gravitas, not just a runway.
It’s also the world our students step into. The same Dublin, the same institutions, the same sense that history and prestige aren’t distant here — they’re lived-in, everyday backdrops. When families ask why Ireland, moments like this are part of the answer.

A note on Tuesday's Leaving Certificate Biology paper 📋
The State Examinations Commission has issued an apology following an error in this week's Higher Level Biology paper — something I want to flag for any families with students who sat that exam.
Question 16(a) contained a labelling mistake in one of the diagrams: both labels read 2n when one should have read n — a distinction that matters in biology. The good news is the SEC has confirmed this will be fully accounted for by the chief examiner when the marking scheme is finalised, so no student should be disadvantaged.
The SEC also addressed questions circulating online about AI involvement in paper-setting. They confirmed clearly: no AI software or applications were used in developing any part of the 2026 Biology paper, including its graphics.
For students who attempted Question 16(a) — this is not something to worry about. The marking process will absorb the error. If your child is concerned, I'm happy to talk it through.

Я не писала ничего подобного на своей странице. Но иногда абсурдность происходящего достигает той точки, когда молчание само становится позицией.
Сегодня я прочитала статью в с заголовком, от которого перехватывает дыхание: «Среди 14 000 россиян, получивших ирландские визы, могут быть "враждебные агенты"». Почти одновременно пришли сообщения от коллег из образовательных агентств: детям отказывают. Детям…
Особенно печально осознавать, что этот запрос исходит от человека — бывшего учителя и выпускника одной из престижных ирландских частных школ-пансиона. Человека, который лучше всех знает , что образование — это не просто привилегия, это ветка возможностей. Это то, кем ты становишься. Именно поэтому его слова звучат особенно странно: он сам признаёт, что большинство россиян не поддерживают войну, что у них есть законные основания приехать — и тем не менее инициирует процесс, который на практике ударяет прежде всего по самым уязвимым: по детям и их семьям.
Я работаю академическим опекуном иностранных студентов. За годы работы я сталкивалась с разным — с бюрократическими сложностями, с языковыми барьерами, с тоской детей по дому. Но с таким — впервые. Среди тех, кто должен был оказаться под моей опекой, — так же и русские дети. Обычные дети.
Подростки, которые учили язык, готовились к учёбе, строили планы — и верили, что их будут оценивать по их поступкам и стремлениям, а не по обложке паспорта. За ними стоят семьи, которые вкладывали в ирландскую экономику немалые суммы — оплачивая обучение, проживание — и делали это осознанно, с верой в ценности этой страны.
Ирландия — страна, которая сама помнит, что значит быть воспринятым через призму коллективного подозрения. Именно поэтому мне так важно произнести это вслух: вопросы безопасности существуют, и они важны. Но между «враждебным агентом» и шестнадцатилетним подростком, мечтающим об образовании, — пропасть. И эту пропасть очень легко не заметить, когда говоришь о «рисках» в общем.
