✨ End of 2025 Program Update ✨

Education Fund & Restoring Hope for Girls in Atambua

Since we began this work in November 2023, we have walked alongside children who have survived sexual abuse and those at risk. Thanks to the kindness of so many supporters, eleven girls are now receiving care and educational support—up from just five in July 2024. Your generosity is truly changing lives.

This year, we also partnered with Existensi Biro Psikologi in Bogor to launch the Restoring Hope Initiative. Together, we trained 24 local caretakers in basic counseling and psychological support through a two-day workshop in Atambua in September. These new skills are helping caretakers respond to trauma with greater sensitivity, confidence, and compassion.

Your support can light the way for these girls.
Every donation—big or small—helps restore safety, dignity, and hope in their lives.

Thank you for standing with us and believing in their future. 💛🙏

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! ✨🎄

Thank you for your generosity, five girls are now able to continue their education and receive the care they deserve - daily group prayer, emotional support and opportunity to learn life skills, all while staying in a safe place.

We are deeply grateful for your support and partnership in this important work. Together we can help the victim-survivors and at-risk children to heal, grow, and look forward to a brighter future 🔆🌟🙂

Dear All,
Thank you for your continued support over the last 6 months. We are giving you an update on the Shelter Home Project and our new fundraising aim.

Fund raised to date (12 June 2024) is AUD2,512.96 and Rp2,545,500. Our plan to build a Shelter Home in Kupang district has to be put on hold, unfortunately, because the fund raised is still far from target (AUD60,000), and the land that was originally proposed to build shelter has been reconsidered for other purpose and no longer granted.

While the initial intention may not be met, there is an immediate need to support victim-survivors in their journey back to school to rebuild a better future for themselves and their baby. We are grateful that most donors are willing to redirect the fund for this purpose. Thank you all for your support and encouragement, directly or indirectly.

The funds are going to FPPA Atambua for the nuns to help pay school fees of victim-survivors and those at risk of human trafficking and domestic/ sexual violence.

As we have such a great need, we will keep the funding request open for donation and redirect our aim to support the educational needs of victim-survivors. Any amount you donate would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏼🙂

We are all worthy of love and care, so are they 💙

Shelter Home for Kupang District - Funds raised to date is approx. AUD 2,135 (1AUD is equivalent to Rp10,385).

We received donations and encouraging messages from people over the past 2 months. Your support means a lot. Please accept our gratitude, thank you all very kindly ☺️🙏

It is heartbreaking to hear that in some parts of the world, people are still being abused and treated unfairly. This world is broken, but we can be part of the solution to end violence in family, and violence against women and children.

We will be grateful that you choose to donate to our cause, if you are unable to, please choose to do good, because this broken world needs hope and love so desperately💙🤍

Dear All, thanks for the 'LIKE'. Funds raised to date is A$885. The Shelter Home will need at least A$60K (equivalent to about 600.000.000 Indonesian Rupiah). We are getting the Cost Estimation done, and will post it here once it is finalised. Please help share this to your circle, to help us reach the target.
Any amount will do and be much appreciated🙂

Thank you for supporting the nuns in building a safe place for victims of violence in Kupang District 😇🙏💙🤍

Hi, I am Yenny Tjoe, founder of SACE Foundation (Sace.foundation). We are partnering with FPPA (the Women and Children Care Forum) in Atambua, West Timor, to provide educational assistance to victim survivors of child sexual abuse and at-risk children. Our goal is to help them continue their high school education or receive skills training, while ensuring they have access to safe accommodation at the FPPA Shelter. Donate today to help them rebuild a brighter future.

A group of nuns from SSpS Timor have been actively assisting victims by providing legal protection, shelter, and teaching essential life skills at their existing shelter, FPPA Atambua. However, there is an urgent need to support victim-survivors in their journey back to school, helping to prevent further suffering due to their circumstances.

Families living in remote West Timor have many disadvantages, yet they often have local knowledge of the surrounding area and coping mechanism to live in scarcity. They are resilient and able to survive harsh living conditions that many of us might not be able to survive. However, they are suffering in a different way and they long for care, support, and love. West Timor, located in NTT Province, Indonesia, faces notable challenges with violence against women and children. In 2024, there has been 1,039 violence cases reported in NTT Province, with 61.6% of victims being females under 18. Sexual violence is particularly on a rising trend.

If you would like to support this cause, you can donate to the following account:

Please mention 'EduFundAtambua' in subject detail and direct message us the evidence of transfer, this will be helpful for our record-keeping.

If you want to know more about this project, please send us a message :)

We are all worthy of love and care, so are they.

In November 2023, this page was created to raise funds to support the Sisters of SSpS Timor in building a new shelter home in Kupang District, West Timor, Indonesia. This Shelter Home is needed to provide urgent services for victims of domestic violence and child sexual abuse, to help them heal and regain self-esteem. However, this plan has to be put on hold because the fund raised is still far from target and the land that was originally proposed to build shelter has been reconsidered for other purpose and no longer granted. Since June 2024, our campaign has been redirected to focus on raising funds to support victim-survivors to return to school and work towards rebuilding a brighter future.
