[「香港藝術家」系列2026︰吳漢紳色士風演奏會]
點解色士風叫「Saxophone」？原本呢件樂器係用咗佢嘅發明者–比利時樂器製造師阿道夫．薩克斯（Adolphe Sax）嘅姓氏命名。為咗紀念呢位樂器發明家，佢嘅故鄉迪南（Dinant）每四年就會舉辦一次迪南國際色士風大賽，係當今最頂尖嘅色士風大賽之一呀🌟🌟🌟

今次Charles將會演繹其中一首比賽指定曲目，由比利時作曲家斯韋爾茨喺1993年創作嘅《激變》 (Klonos)。呢首歌寫出嚟就係為咗將參賽者迫到極限！Klonos喺醫學上亦有肌肉痙攣的意思，用嚟形容呢首曲就真係啱哂喇，因為真係難吹到「抽筋」呀😱😱😱

["Hong Kong Artists" Series 2026: Saxophone Recital by Charles Ng]
Ever wondered why saxophone is called “saxophone”? It is to honour its inventor, Belgian instrument maker Adolphe Sax. To celebrate his legacy, his hometown of Dinant hosts the prestigious Adolphe Sax International Competition every four years—one of the most elite saxophone competitions in the world. 🌟🌟🌟

For this recital, Charles takes on one of the competition's prescribed pieces: "Klonos", composed in 1993 by Belgian composer Piet Swerts. Designed specifically to push performers to their absolute limits, "Klonos" takes its name from the medical term for involuntary muscle spasms—and it fits perfectly. This piece is notoriously challenging, it will literally leave your hands cramping! 😱😱😱

🎻 French Violinist Renaud Capuçon To Perform All 3 Brahms Sonatas In Hong Kong On October 11 🎼

🎙️ “One of the most acclaimed violinists of our time, Renaud Capuçon is returning to Hong Kong for a one-night recital as part of Great Music 2026, a LCSD programme bring world-renowned musicians to Hong Kong. It will be his first show in the city since 2017.

Joined by award-winning French pianist Guillaume Bellom, who won First Prize at the Épinal International Competition in 2015, Capuçon will perform all three of Brahms’ violin sonatas at Hong Kong City Hall on October 11.

And audiences may also get to see Capuçon play a remarkable piece of musical history: the 1737 Guarneri del Gesù “Panette”, a violin that once belonged to legendary American violinist Isaac Stern."
