Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Architectural Services Department, ArchSD 40A – Dreams of Future Architects unites six leading local architecture schools to spark creativity, collaboration, and vision. This dynamic platform goes beyond the classroom, offering students professional lectures, knowledge-sharing sessions, real project site visits, and in-depth design critiques. Together, these experiences connect academic learning with the real-world practice of public works, while opening doors to bold explorations of future architectural forms.

In partnership with Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI), this round's theme — "Bibliotheca Architecture" — reimagines the library as a beacon of knowledge and care. It explores multiple three-dimensional connections between different functions and embraces volumetric construction for speed, challenging students to design spaces that are intellectually vibrant, socially supportive, and architecturally expressive.

By blending professional heritage with forward-looking imagination, the programme empowers the next generation of architects to think bigger, dream bolder, and co-create the future of our city. A culminating public exhibition starting from 4 July 2026 will showcase both ArchSD's remarkable 40 years of public works achievements and the visionary creations of participating students — stay tuned as we unveil this inspiring dialogue between legacy and future. 🏫✨🚀

為慶祝建築署成立40週年，「ArchSD 40A – Dreams of Future Architects」匯聚六所本地建築院校，構建一個充滿活力與創造力的交流平台。透過專業講座與知識分享、工程項目參觀，以及深入的設計評圖，同學得以連結公共工程的實踐經驗，同時展開對未來建築形態的前瞻探索。

是次與香港知專設計學院（HKDI） 的合作以 「知識之殿建築」（Bibliotheca Architecture）為主題，將圖書館重新想像為知識與關懷的明光，探索不同功能之間的多重三維連接，並以立體組合構築法回應快速建造的需求，鼓勵學生在設計中兼備理性結構與人文溫度。

在傳承專業精神之餘，計劃激發新一代建築設計學生共同構築城市的未來願景。計劃成果將於2026年7月4日起舉行公開展覽，屆時不僅展示建築署40年來的重要公共工程成果，亦呈現學生充滿前瞻視野與創意想像的設計作品，展開一場傳承與未來交織的建築對話，敬請期待。🏫✨🌟

In partnership with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the theme “Countryside Intervention” explores the Expression of Spatial Consciousness through Nature. It challenges students to blend architecture with its surroundings, embracing the philosophy that form follows nature.

By blending professional heritage with forward-looking imagination, the programme empowers the next generation of architects to think bigger, dream bolder, and co-create the future of our city. 「建築署安全論壇 2026」於 5 月 21 日順利舉行，活動由建築署主辦，匯聚了政府部門、專業機構及建造業界的代表，聚焦工地安全及預防文化的實踐👷‍♀️👷‍♂️，共同為更安全的工地環境出一分力🏗️。

我們很榮幸邀請到發展局首席助理秘書長林達明先生出席是次論壇並給予支持🤝。除此之外，論壇亦邀得多位來自不同領域的嘉賓擔任講者，包括職業安全健康局首席顧問楊冠全博士、香港建造學院安全培訓及文化發展高級經理謝翠珊女士、香港建造業分包商聯會永遠榮譽會長伍新華先生，以及勞工處分區職業安全主任鄭敬恒先生，與大家分享業界在安全管理上的前線經驗與專業洞見💡。論壇內容包括組裝合成建築法的安全設計、工地防火危機、棚架作業安全、安全智慧工地系統（4S）規劃實施與領導，以及如何改善棚架工作安全文化等多個範疇🔧📚。

四場分享從組裝合成建築法、防火風險管理、棚架工作安全，以至 4S 安全智慧工地系統及安全文化建立等多個層面，深入探討如何把創新科技、專業知識與前線經驗結合，將安全要求真正落實到每一個工序、每一個崗位🔍📊👷‍♂️。隨後設有問答環節，讓與會者與講者互動交流，分享前線實務經驗及面對的安全挑戰，現場氣氛熱烈、反應踴躍💬✨，充分體現業界對工地安全的重視。

建築署一直致力與業界夥伴探索於工程中應用不同新質生產力以提升工程安全、質量、效率、及應對日益複雜多變嘅工程和設施保養工作。🏗

上星期五5月8日，我哋同香港科技園公司舉辦了一場交流活動。當日，科學園公司聯同五間建築工程相關的創新科技公司同建築署署長、副署長、 助理署長、工程策劃總監及30多位不同專業的同事一起進行深入討論。💭呢五間創新科技公司涵蓋人工智能、創新先進物料、建築數碼技術、建築機器人和3D混凝土打印技術。🤖交流嘅時候，我哋除咗了解呢五間科技企業嘅創新科技同埋應用，我哋亦踴躍提出一些意見，包括建築署嘅潛在應用場景，與創新科技公司嘅代表共同探討在項目及工作不同節點上的應用。 📝

交流嘅最後，署長亦鼓勵同事們要探索更多人工智能等科技使工作做到提速、提量、提質、提效。 📈

今年係建築署40周年，如同過去40年一樣，建築署會持續改進，率先嘗試引入不同嘅應用科技， 為業界的高質量發展作出貢獻，為香港建造一個可持續發展、更具抗禦力和以人為本的生活環境。 👨‍👩‍👦
