🌍 Collaboration, knowledge transfer and innovation are key drivers of the circular transition.

At the 5th Community of Practice gathering of the Interreg Euro-MED Innovative Sustainable Economy Mission in Athens, VERDEinMED showcased its work in supporting textile circularity through mentoring, capacity building and transnational cooperation.

🎯 A key milestone was the presentation of the joint Mentoring & Twinning roadmap developed with CEEBA, aimed at supporting textile SMEs and business support organisations in Egypt in adopting circular economy practices and scaling innovative solutions.

🇮🇹 The VERDEinMED consortium gathered in Perugia for two days of collaboration, strategic discussions and knowledge exchange focused on accelerating the sustainable transition of the textile and clothing sector across the Mediterranean. ♻️👕

Hosted by Legambiente Umbria and CONFINDUSTRIA UMBRIA, the meeting brought together partners, institutions and industry stakeholders to review project progress, explore policy and innovation strategies, and showcase practical initiatives supporting textile circularity.

🟢 The event also included the certification award ceremony for the 10 companies benefiting from the Textile Assistance Scheme (TAS).

Representatives of the project are these days in Athens taking part in the 3rd MED Innovation Summit and the 5th ISE CoP in-person gathering, hosted by DVISION and MIO-ECSDE within the framework of the Circle the Med Forum. 🇬🇷

👥 Representing Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) at the event is Chrysovalantis (Valantis) Ketikidis, while CTA (Corporación Tecnológica de Andalucía) is represented by Alberto Barranca Jiménez, PhD and Juanita Zenteno.

🔵 Over three days, the event brings together Mediterranean innovation actors to foster high-level dialogue, knowledge exchange, networking, and community building around sustainable and innovative solutions for the region.

♻️ On May 12–13, VERDEinMED partners will gather for our next consortium meeting, kindly hosted by Legambiente Umbria and Confindustria Umbria.

We will kick things off on May 12 with an internal working session, and on May 13 we will open the conversation with our event “Strategies for sustainable transition in the textile & clothing sector”! 👕
