SIGNIFICANT MILESTONE BY WESTERN REGIONAL YOUTH WING

*6. Establishment of Finance /Logistics Committee*

As a youth leader and organizer, Hajj Mustapha Iddrisu⁩ has been recognized for efforts aimed at mobilizing resources and logistics to support youth engagement, organizational activities, and grassroots mobilization across the Western Region.

One major obstacle that has often undermined the autonomy of the Youth Wing has been inadequate funding for our activities and programmes. However, with the inauguration of the Finance/Logistics Committee, comprising a diverse and dedicated membership, significant progress has been made in addressing this challenge. The Committee has contributed immensely through the following areas:

Key Areas of Resource Mobilization

*A. Support for Youth Activities and Programs*

1. Mobilized resources to facilitate youth conferences, training workshops, and leadership development programs.

2. Secured logistical support for regional and constituency youth engagements.

3. Assisted in providing materials needed for youth outreach and educational initiatives.

*B. Strengthening Grassroots Structures*

1. Coordinated the distribution of operational materials to constituency and branch youth executives.

2. Facilitated transportation and logistical arrangements for regional meetings and organizational activities.

3. Supported efforts to improve communication and coordination among youth structures.

*C. Election and Campaign Logistics*

1. For the first time, motorbikes were provided to all (17) Constituency Youth Organizers and (17) Deputies across the region.

2. Procured and distributed over 10,000 NDC branded T' shirts to the youth wings and rank and file of the party. Grateful to Members of our FINANCE COMMITTEE.

3. Helped mobilize resources for campaign activities, voter outreach programs, and grassroots engagement.

4. Facilitated the provision of campaign materials and logistical support for youth volunteers and organizers.

5. Enhanced the operational capacity of local youth teams during election periods.

*D. Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships*

1. Worked with party leaders, community stakeholders, and supporters to secure assistance for youth programs.

2. Encouraged collaboration between youth groups and development partners to expand opportunities for young people.

3. Promoted a culture of collective responsibility in supporting youth empowerment initiatives.

Major Achievements

*1. Provision of Motorbikes to Youth Executives*

The Regional Youth Wing demonstrated comprehensive logistical support by providing Motorbikes to all Constituency Youth Organisers and their Deputies, thereby enhancing their mobility for campaign activities. These were made possible by the kind courtesy of Uncle Kofi Totobi Quakyi, Dr. George Sipa-Adjah Yankey and Nana Toku.

The motorbikes improved mobility of Regional, Constituency, and Branch Youth Organisers in carrying out party assignments.
They also facilitated regular outreach to remote and difficult-to-access communities. Furthermore, they enhanced monitoring and coordination of youth activities across constituencies and electoral areas.*We are grateful to Danny Acheampong*

*2. Procurement and Distribution Branded Party T-shirts*

Through the retail campaigns, a noticeable challenge emerged - the demand for branded NDC T-shirts was very high. Through the efforts of the Finance Committee of the youth wing and other high-spirited individuals, the youth wing mobilized over 10,000 T-shirts for distribution to constituency youth wings and the rank and file across the region, responding swiftly and timely to the demand.

The procurement and distribution of branded party T-shirts constituted a major logistics and visibility initiative by the Western Regional Youth Wing, aimed at strengthening party identity, promoting unity, and enhancing grassroots mobilisation efforts across the region. It also assisted tremendously to end the T' Shirts draught in the Constituencies. *We are grateful to the Finance and Logistic Committees*.

*3. Donations of Computers and Accessories*

The mobilisation and donation of computers and related accessories to the Western Regional Youth Wing represented a significant investment in strengthening the administrative, communication, and operational capacity of the youth front.

This initiative enhanced the efficiency of the Regional Youth Secretariat thereby improving our record-keeping, data management, and documentation of youth activities.

This made it possible for the establishment of Regional Youth Secretariat at the party headquarters in Sekondi. We are grateful to all those who donated them for that purpose.

*4. Procurement and Distribution of Megaphones*

One of the notable logistics interventions was the procurement and distribution of megaphones to youth organisers across the region to enhance grassroots communication and voter engagement activities and improve public outreach during community meetings and public engagements.

The distribution of megaphones significantly boosted the communication capacity of the Western Regional Youth Wing, enabling organisers to effectively reach larger audiences, increase visibility of party activities, and sustain continuous engagement with grassroots supporters throughout the region. *We are grateful; Kwamena Amoah.*

*5. Purchasing of PA Systems*

The procurement of PA System for the youth wing is underway. This was the initiative of the Regional Youth Working Committee taken at its maiden meeting in De Kings Hotel in Tarkwa Constituency. Substantial amount has been contributed by members for that purpose. Additional monies will be raised to actualize this dream.

Substantial amount has been used to hire PA SYSTEMS for youth related activities. Significant amount will therefore be saved if the plan comes to fruition

*Impact of the Initiative*

Through strategic resource mobilization and logistical coordination, Alhaji Mustapha Iddrisu has contributed to building stronger youth structures and supporting the effective implementation of youth-focused initiatives in the Western Region.

This intervention formed part of the broader logistics mobilisation strategy aimed at empowering youth structures and enhancing organisational efficiency.
