As part of the World Health Organisation's initiatives, SDA Hospital, Fiapre-Sunyani brings to you Glaucoma Awareness Week celebration starting 9th to 14th March, 2026

Theme:
Uniting for a Glaucoma-Free World

The Global Initiative:
World Glaucoma Week is a global initiative observed second week of March every year.
Glaucoma is the leading cause of preventable blindness globally.

Goal:
The goal is to create awareness of this blinding condition and promote early detection and management.

Did you know?
Most people with glaucoma are not aware of it: most glaucoma patients have zero symptoms.
Catch the disease early and you have a great chance of preserving your vision for the years to come.

Ongoing Activity:
Glaucoma screening ongoing from Monday, 9th March to 13th March, 2026 at the Eye unit.
