AHAFO REGIONAL MINISTER TOURS ASUNAFO NORTH TO INSPECT ONGOING DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

On Monday 1st June, 2026, the Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. Mrs. Charity Gardiner, paid a working visit to the Asunafo North Municipality to inspect the progress of several ongoing development projects aimed at improving the living conditions of residents.

The tour formed part of the Minister’s commitment to ensuring that government-funded projects are completed on schedule and meet the required standards. During the inspection, the Minister visited a number of key projects, including road construction works, school infrastructure, health facilities, and water supply systems.

The Regional Minister and her entourage from the Ahafo Regional Coordinating Council were accompanied by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Joseph Akparibo, municipal officials, engineers, heads of departments, traditional leaders, and Assembly Members to the various project sites.

The Minister expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far while urging contractors to maintain quality and speed in their work. At one of the project sites, she emphasized the government’s determination to accelerate development across the Ahafo Region. According to the Minister, infrastructure development remains a major priority because it promotes economic growth, creates employment opportunities, and improves access to essential services for the people.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Asunafo North, Hon. Joseph Akparibo, also briefed the Minister on the Assembly’s commitment to the successful implementation of government-funded projects to serve their intended purposes. He assured the Minister that efforts were being made to ensure the timely completion of all projects.

Community members and traditional authorities who interacted with the Minister expressed appreciation for the government’s commitment to development in the municipality. They appealed for further investments in roads, education, and healthcare to improve the welfare of residents.

Speaking to the media after the tour, the Regional Minister called on contractors to work diligently and complete the projects within the stipulated time frame. She further assured residents that the government would continue to monitor projects closely to guarantee value for money and sustainable development in the municipality.

The inspection tour ended with a renewed commitment from all stakeholders to support the rapid development of the Asunafo North Municipality and the Ahafo Region as a whole.

AHAFO REGIONAL MINISTER EMBARKS ON PROJECT INSPECTION TOUR IN ASUTIFI SOUTH DISTRICT.

The Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. Mrs. Charity Gardiner, on Thursday, May 28, 2026, embarked on a project inspection tour across the Asutifi South District to assess the progress and quality of ongoing government projects in the area.

The tour formed part of the Minister’s commitment to ensuring effective monitoring, accountability, and the timely completion of developmental projects aimed at improving the living conditions of the people in the region. This initiative also forms part of President John Dramani Mahama’s Reset Agenda aimed at promoting accountability, accelerating development, and improving service delivery across the country.

During the inspection, Hon. Mrs. Charity Gardiner visited several project sites within the district, interacted with contractors, engineers, and community members, and evaluated the pace of work.

Speaking during the tour, the Regional Minister emphasized the government’s dedication to delivering impactful infrastructure and social intervention projects that will promote growth and development in the Ahafo Region. She further urged contractors to adhere strictly to project specifications and timelines to ensure value for money.

The inspection exercise also provided an opportunity for the Minister to identify challenges affecting some projects and discuss possible solutions with the relevant stakeholders.

The Regional Coordinating Council, together with the Asutifi South District Assembly, reaffirmed their commitment to supporting initiatives that will enhance development and improve service delivery across the region.
