Political engagement is a foundational element of our Republic, and when the state redirects its focus from safeguarding all citizens to monitoring political opponents, it erodes the very bedrock of our sovereignty.

The National Vice President of Alpha Patriots and Incoming Upper East Regional Youth Organizer, Alhaj Mohammed Hairu (Adakwa), together with a section of Alpha Patriots’ executives led by Council Chairman the venerable Nana Kwame Prempeh and President Kofi Asamoah, paid a courtesy visit to former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo at his office.

Alhaj Hairu remains the most formidable aspirant to lead the youth wing of the party in the Upper East region, given his demonstrated political acumen and competencies. Adakwa for a reason.

RISING TOGETHER: ADAKWA FOR A REASON

As an aspiring candidate for the position of the Upper East Regional Youth Organizer, I understand that such a position is multifaceted, requiring a balance of empathy, strategic thinking, sense of empowerment, and proven leadership skills.

My previous experience as Alpha Patriots Coordinator in all five regions comprising the northern zone has equipped me with essential leadership skills and exposed me to the challenges facing our youth across the northern zone. One issue that ran across is the lack of recognition. Most of our vibrant youth and social media party activists have their efforts go unnoticed.

With me as the next regional youth organizer, I am committed to transparency, inclusivity, and fostering a sense of belonging to the elephant family within the region and beyond. These attributes, coupled with a vision for progress, form the core of my candidacy.

John C. Maxwell, a renowned leadership expert, once said, “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.” This philosophy encapsulates my approach to leadership. I have consistently demonstrated my ability and readiness to support my colleagues patriots towards achieving a common goal.
