Yesterday marked a powerful step forward for youth empowerment and entrepreneurship in Fanteakwa North at the BizBox Start-Up Kit Presentation Ceremony in Begoro held at the District Assembly Hall.
This initiative, led by the Ghana Enterprises Agency in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, continues to create real opportunities for young people—especially women and persons with disabilities—by equipping them with practical skills and the tools needed to start and grow their own businesses.
Over the past two years, 355 young people in the district have received skills training in areas such as hairdressing, dressmaking, barbering, cosmetology, animal farming, and food processing. Many have transitioned from training to business ownership through the provision of start-up kits.
Yesterday, we were proud to support 42 dedicated beneficiaries in food and fruit processing as they take the next bold step in their entrepreneurial journey.
This is more than a program—it is about building livelihoods, reducing unemployment, and driving real economic growth within our communities.
Together, we are building a stronger and more resilient Fanteakwa North District Assembly - E/R.
