ASAMANKSE, EASTERN REGION – The political temperature in the Lower West Akim Municipality is rising as the New Patriotic Party, NPP, prepares to host the Eastern Regional General Executive Elections for 2026-2030 at the PEP Sports Stadium in Asamankese.
At the forefront of the preparations are two grassroots mobilizers known for their energy and unity drive: Appian, the Constituency Organizer, and his Deputy Organizer, who have turned the entire municipality into a hive of activity.
THE ROAD TO PEP STADIUM: "WORK HAS BEGUN"
From the main Asamankese lorry station to the gates of PEP Sports Stadium, the evidence of serious preparation is everywhere. Banners in NPP colors, party flags, and directional signs have been mounted. Sound systems have been tested, and volunteer teams are sweeping, painting, and arranging seats.
Speaking to party faithful, Constituency Organizer Appian said the choice of Asamankese is both an honor and a responsibility.
> "Asamankese is the heart of Lower West Akim. We cannot fail. My Deputy and I, together with all polling station executives, have been on the ground day and night. The road to PEP Stadium must reflect the discipline, unity, and strength of the NPP in this constituency," he stated.
His Deputy added that over 2,000 delegates, aspirants, and party supporters from across the 33 constituencies in the Eastern Region are expected on the day.
> "This is not just an election. It is a show of force. We are preparing the stadium, security, sanitation, and welfare to make sure every delegate feels at home. Eastern Region is NPP territory, and we will prove it here."
