Yesterday, Commending the Ghana National Fire Service’s Efforts in Anloga.

The recent simulation exercise organized by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) Anloga District at the Anloga Market Lorry Park was a timely reminder of the importance of fire safety. The event, which saw participation from NADMO and other agencies, was both educational and impactful, despite a lower-than-expected turnout.

Tragically, the lessons from the drill became real when a fire broke out at a fitting shop in Savietula this afternoon. Thanks to the swift response of the GNFS Anloga District team, the situation was brought under control, preventing further damage. I commend the bravery and professionalism of the fire personnel involved.

However, the incident also highlighted a concerning trend: the public’s impulse to intervene in fire emergencies, often exacerbating the danger. I urge everyone to stay back during such crises and let trained professionals handle it. The reckless handling of flammable items, like gas cylinders, puts lives at risk.

Let’s support the efforts of our fire service heroes by acting responsibly. Together, we can prevent disasters.

- Prevention Pays

- Your Safety, Our Priority

- Save lives and property.💪

Marking International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction

The Anloga District NADMO Staff came together to mark the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction on October 13, 2025, in a grand celebration that showcased the power of collaboration and commitment to disaster risk awareness with a Environmental and Health Sanitation Department.

At the heart of this celebration was a clean-up exercise and seminar held at Akploworkor R/C Basic School, where stakeholders, community members, teachers, and students gathered to promote disaster risk reduction and environmental sustainability through the clean up exercise. And as marked the event yesterday, the staff of NADNO donated some relief items to Anloga Police services with 5 body Bags, 5 Walleten boots and 5 hand gloves as part of their work in terms of disasters.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the Regional Director for NADMO, Hon. Richard Kwame Sefe, Member of Parliament, and Hon. Sandra Seyram Kpedor, District Chief Executive, for their goodwill and support in making this event a success. Their presence and contributions were a testament to their dedication to the well-being and safety of our communities.

Special mention must also go to Hogbe FM for their wonderful engagement and coverage of the event. Their professionalism and commitment to disseminating important information to the public are truly appreciated.

The success of this event is a reflection of the collective effort and commitment of stakeholders to making our communities safer and more resilient. We look forward to continued collaboration and partnership in our quest to build a disaster-resilient Anloga District.

Thank you to all who participated and contributed to this meaningful celebration!
