June Gave us another Opportunity to engage Parents on some activities of the various EduSpots Strands at the Spot.

We also educated parents on the importance of effective usage of digital devices by their children and how to involve play in learning even when they are with their children at home 💥

Yesterday, we observed World Menstrual Hygiene Day with 30 Pupil from three Junior high Schools in Akumadan , focusing on promoting menstrual health and hygiene awareness led by health professionals and EduSpots Catalysts.

We're grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in our community. Big thanks to everyone involved, especially the students and Catalysts who made it a success!

Let's continue breaking stigmas and supporting each other!

Meet Our Catalyst of the month , February😇

Louisa is an Assistant Strand Lead in ignite equity strand , she was privileged to lead the Sparks(learners) to Submit the EduSpots ignite equity’s Strand challenge for February in Akumadan.

She was instrumental in setting up the club for this year and her active support and engagement with her fellow Catalysts has been extraordinary 😍

She meets with her club members weekly , on Saturdays 2pm to 4pm at the Library.

🎉 EduSpots Welcomes Professor Elsie Effah Kaufmann as Patron! 🎉

As we kick off our 10th anniversary celebrations, we are thrilled to announce the appointment of Professor Elsie Effah Kaufmann as our patron!

Professor Elsie Effah Kaufmann, Dean of Engineering Sciences at the University of Ghana and beloved Quiz Mistress of the National Science and Maths Quiz, expressed her enthusiasm: “I have observed the work of EduSpots over the years and am impressed by the impact the Catalysts are making in their communities. I am honored to work closely with EduSpots and its vibrant learning communities.”

In other exciting news, Professor Kaufmann will be joining us at our Elmina Training Centre for our annual Peer Mentor Academy from 1st–2nd February 2025! We are thrilled to have her engage with our peer mentors as they develop their leadership and coaching skills.

Since 2015, EduSpots has connected and trained over 400 local changemakers—our Catalysts—across Ghana and Kenya, establishing 50 community-led education hubs that have reached over 30,000 learners. Our focus on play-based, inclusive learning continues to create a ripple effect in communities.

As we celebrate this milestone year, we aim to double our network and expand from 50 to 100 Spots in Ghana. Details on how new community teams can apply to join the network will be published later in 2025.

Join us on this journey by becoming a supporter through our 100 Club! Donate or join the 100 Club: https://eduspots.raiselysite.com/
