Bright smiles, fresh exercise books, and enthusiastic young learners marked a memorable morning at the Alogboshie Cluster of Schools.
Yesterday, Thursday, 24th September 2026, the Hon. Member of Parliament, Hon. Theresa Lardi Awuni, alongside the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Christian Tetteh Badger, joined hands to celebrate "My First Day at School."
The leadership team toured classrooms to warmly welcome new pupils embarking on their academic journey. Beyond the encouraging words and warm smiles, the dignitaries presented learning materials, stationery, and refreshments to inspire the children and ease their transition into basic education.
Interacting with teachers, parents, and school administrators, the MCE and MP reaffirmed the Assembly's unwavering commitment to improving educational infrastructure, enhancing teaching environments, and ensuring every child in Okaikwei North receives quality education.
Here’s wishing all our new pupils a fruitful, fun-filled, and successful academic year ahead.

🇬🇭 HONOURING OSAGYEFO: MCE LEADS CLEAN-UP ON N1 HIGHWAY

This morning, as Ghana commemorates Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day (21st September, 2026), the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Christian Tetteh Badger, joined friends and traders for a clean-up exercise on the median of the N1 Highway.

The team worked together to:
✅ Clear waste and debris from the median
✅ Restore the beauty of this major national corridor
✅ Demonstrate the spirit of service and patriotism

The MCE's Message:

"Today, we honour Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah not just with words, but with action. A clean Ghana is a proud Ghana. Let us all do our part."

CONTINUOUS CLEANUP: FROM FADAMA TO NII BOI TOWN

No rest until Okaikwei North is clean! Right after leading the post-Maulid cleanup exercise in Fadama earlier today, Sunday, 6th September 2026, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Christian Tetteh Badger, and his team moved straight to the Nii Boi Town Junction on the N1 Highway.

The team engaged in an intensive street-sweeping and waste-clearing exercise along the major highway stretch to keep our primary transit routes spotless and safe for motorists and pedestrians.

The MCE's Message:
"Our commitment to a clean Okaikwei North is unwavering. We will continue to work tirelessly, community by community to ensure our municipality remains healthy, safe, and beautiful for all."

MCE LEADS POST-MAULID CLEAN-UP AT FADAMA

Today, 6th September, 2026, at 6:00 AM, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Christian Tetteh Badger, joined the people of Fadama for a clean-up exercise following yesterday's National Maulid celebration.

The Maulid, hosted by the National Chief Imam Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, drew thousands of Muslims and community members to Fadama to commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and highlight teachings of peace, unity, and compassion.

The team worked together to:
✅ Clear refuse and debris after the large gathering
✅ Restore cleanliness to the community
✅ Maintain environmental hygiene

The MCE's Message:
"We are committed to building a cleaner, healthier Okaikwei North for all. Every community deserves to live in dignity, and together we can achieve that under the Agenda."

NATIONAL SANITATION DAY: ACHIMOTA ABOFU

In observance of National Sanitation Day on Saturday, 5th September 2026, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Christian Tetteh Badger, joined community members and local leaders in Achimota Abofu for a massive cleanup exercise.

Together, the team cleared clogged drainages, swept major streets, and desilted waterways to promote environmental hygiene and flood prevention within the community.

The MCE's Message:
"The fight against poor sanitation requires collective citizen action, not just the efforts of assemblies". "Nobody will clean it for us; we must do it ourselves".

A clean community is a healthy community! Let us keep Okaikwei North clean every day.

MCE PARTICIPATES IN NATIONAL MAULIDI WALK 2026

On Sunday, 30th August, 2026, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Christian Tetteh Badger, joined the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, and thousands of Muslims and community members for the National Maulid Walk.

The walk commemorated the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and highlighted his teachings of faith, peace, unity, and compassion.

The MCE's Message:
"I was honoured to join the National Chief Imam and the Muslim community for this important occasion. The Maulid Walk reminds us of the values that bind us as Ghanaians—unity, tolerance, and mutual respect. Okaikwei North is committed to fostering peaceful coexistence among all faiths."

The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, has been widely recognised as a symbol of interfaith harmony and a beacon of religious tolerance in Ghana.

🚜 ROADS INSPECTION AT KISSEMAN 🚧

Earlier today at 12:00 PM, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Christian Tetteh Badger, together with officers from the Municipal Urban Roads Department, conducted an on-site inspection of the ongoing road construction project at Kisseman (Dan Blessco area).

As active physical works kick off, contractor teams are currently executing the ground-leveling and sub-base preparation stage to build a solid foundation for durable paving.

This project reflects the Assembly's continuous commitment to improving road connectivity, enhancing public safety, and facilitating smooth vehicular movement across the municipality.
