Smart Africa Ltd, in partnership with GIZ and the Data Protection Commission, held a 3 day intensive capacity-building program from 6–8 May 2026.

The training brought together staff from Public Sector institutions and the Data Protection Commission to strengthen knowledge in data governance and data protection.

The program aimed to enhance institutional compliance, promote best practices, and improve Ghana’s readiness for cross-border data flows. Through practical sessions and expert-led discussions, participants sharpened their skills in data governance, deepened their understanding of compliance, and explored real world strategies to protect personal data in an increasingly digital landscape.
