The 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Programme participated in the 2026 China-West Africa Medical and Health Industry Expo, engaging healthcare professionals, manufacturers, investors, researchers and technology companies on the opportunities within Ghana's healthcare industry. The Expo brought together stakeholders from across China and West Africa to explore partnerships across healthcare, technology, trade, academia, industry and project development.
At the event, the Secretariat showcased the 24H+ vision for developing healthcare as a productive sector of the economy, while engaging participants on how they can participate in and benefit from the Programme. The Secretariat also led discussions on the development of the Legon Pharmaceutical Innovation Park (LePIP) as an opportunity to strengthen pharmaceutical manufacturing, research, innovation and technology transfer in Ghana.
The engagement forms part of the Programme's ongoing implementation efforts to build productive capacity, attract investment and develop industries that can serve Ghana and compete in regional and global markets.
