Strengthening the Church's Response to Child Protection

The Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), through its Department of Development and Social Services, commenced a three-day training on Tuesday, 14th July 2026, in the Kwahu Presbytery to strengthen the Church's response to child trafficking and improve support for survivors.

Held under the theme, "Training of Faith Actors Against Trafficking Dialogue," the workshop equipped faith leaders and key stakeholders with the knowledge and practical skills needed to prevent child trafficking, safeguard children, understand trauma, and provide appropriate support to survivors while strengthening child protection efforts within their communities.

Participants included Presbytery DSS Director, District DSS Coordinators from the Kwahu Presbytery, and generational groups, Social Welfare Officers, Regional School Manager, Compassion International Child Development Centre Directors, and other stakeholders committed to promoting the welfare and protection of children.

The training, held at Modak Royal Hotel, Kwahu Pepease, ran from 14th to 17th July 2026, reflecting the Presbyterian Church of Ghana's unwavering commitment to protecting children, empowering communities, and promoting a safer environment where every child can thrive.

πŸŒπŸ’š Celebrate Green Friday with Purpose!

The Department of Development & Social Services is calling on all of us to remember that protecting our planet starts at home. Let’s commit to the 3 Rs: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle PLASTICS. By making this simple shift, we safeguard our oceans, uplift our communities, and secure a brighter tomorrow.

It’s more than a habitβ€”it's a reflection of our values. Our Faith. Our Earth. Our Responsibility. 🌿✨
