They had been friends since childhood but then they separated ,they never thought they will see each other again ,they totally forgot each other ,but It all began in their first year of high school. Alex, Ben, and Emily met during orientation, brought together by the randomness of assigned seating. Emily, with her bright smile and warm personality, quickly broke the ice, making the three of them fast friends. They shared everything—secrets, fears, dreams—and over time, their bond grew stronger.
Alex, with his easygoing nature and love for sports, was the first to invite them to one of his soccer games. Ben, more reserved, preferred quiet moments in the library, often accompanied by Emily, who admired his vast knowledge and the way he could lose himself in a book for hours. Emily, the artist of the trio, loved painting scenes from their shared adventures, capturing moments of their friendship on canvas.
By their sophomore year, the trio was inseparable. They were the perfect trio, complementing each other’s strengths and weaknesses. They laughed together, supported each other through tough times, and celebrated each other's successes. But as time passed, Alex and Ben began to realize that their feelings for Emily were more than just friendship.
It was during a school trip to the mountains that Alex first realized his feelings for Emily. The three friends had hiked to a secluded spot to watch the sunset. As the sky turned brilliant shades of orange and pink, Emily sat quietly, sketching the scene in her notebook. Alex watched her, his heart pounding in a way that surprised him. He had never seen her look so beautiful, so peaceful.
That night, as they sat around the campfire, Alex couldn’t take his eyes off her. Every laugh, every smile, every little thing she did seemed to make his heart swell. He knew then that he was falling for his best friend.
Ben, on the other hand, had always admired Emily's creativity and warmth. He loved the way she could turn a blank canvas into a masterpiece, how her eyes sparkled when she talked about her dreams, and how she always knew exactly what to say to make him feel better. But it wasn’t until he found himself writing poems about her—lines filled with unspoken words of love—that he realized just how deeply he cared for her.
Both boys were caught in a whirlwind of emotions. They didn’t want to ruin their friendship, but the feelings were becoming too strong to ignore. Each struggled with the idea of confessing, knowing that only one of them could win Emily’s heart.
The tension between Alex and Ben grew as their feelings for Emily deepened. They began to notice the little things—the way Alex would blush when Emily complimented him, or how Ben would get lost in her eyes during their study sessions. It was clear that they were both vying for her attention, but neither wanted to make the first move, afraid of what it might do to their friendship.
The breaking point came during the annual school dance. Emily, excited for the event, had spent weeks planning her outfit, eager to enjoy the night with her two best friends. But both Alex and Ben saw the dance as their chance to finally tell her how they felt.
As the night wore on, the three of them danced and laughed together, but there was an unspoken tension in the air. Alex couldn’t take it anymore. During a slow song, he took Emily’s hand and led her outside to the school’s garden, where the sound of music was faint, and the night was still.
“Emily,” Alex began, his voice shaky, “there’s something I need to tell you.”
Emily looked at him, her heart suddenly pounding. “What is it, Alex?”
