The Preventive Health Nurses Society, Ghana (PREHENS-GH) is a professional non-profit organization under the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA). Established on September 12, 2024, PREHENS-GH is an amalgamation of Public Health Nurses, Registered Community Nurses, and

Nurse Assistants Preventive. Our mission is to provide compassionate, accountable, respectful, and excellent care, focusing on preventive health and community well-being. Through education, research, and advocacy, we strive to influence health policy and promote evidence-based practice. OUR VISION:

a. Provide fair and equal opportunity to all cadres of the merged group

2. Educational and professional Development:
a. Hold Annual Conferences
b. Periodic workshops
c. Monthly webinars. d. Develop online resources and toolkits. e. In - country and foreign networking.
3. Evidence-based Practice
a. Conduct and publish research on preventive health topics. b. Develop and disseminate evidence-based guidelines and protocols. c. Collaborate with academic institutions, research and organizations.
4. Policy and advocacy
a. Influence health policy through lobbying, testimony and position statements
b. Collaborate with government agencies, non-profit and private organizations
c. Develop policy briefs and fact sheets.
5. Promote networking
a. Community engagement and partnerships with community organizations, businesses and healthcare providers. Engage in outreach and education activities with diverse populations. Support community-based initiatives and projects. Join others in country and foreign societies whilst maintaining allegiance to GRNMA

a. Provide career support and opportunities for its membership and trainees
