Who is the woman making a difference in your community?

The Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences is pleased to announce the GAAS Women’s Awards 2026, celebrating women whose leadership and contributions are advancing communities and national development.

Under the theme “Breaking Barriers and Building Nations: Celebrating Women in Outstanding Leadership in Ghana,” the Awards seek to recognise women whose impact may not always receive public attention.

Women from rural communities and districts are particularly encouraged to be nominated. She could be a teacher, nurse, technician, market woman, farmer, entrepreneur, community leader, health worker, creative, advocate or professional.

Know a woman whose work is making a difference? Nominate her.

The nomination deadline has been extended to 30th August 2026.
