THUS FAR BY GRACE: TEN YEARS OF EMPOWERMENT

Ten years ago, a seed was planted—small, hopeful, and full of promise. What began as a vision has grown into a movement of impact, transformation, and lasting change.

Today, as we reflect on the journey of the Young African Women Congress Network, we do so with grateful hearts and a clear declaration: thus far, it has been by grace.

The story of ten years is not merely a timeline of events; it is a testimony of perseverance, faith, and empowerment. Every milestone reached was once a dream. Every achievement was once a challenge. Every success was once a step taken in uncertainty. Yet through every stage—through moments of doubt and seasons of growth—grace has been our constant companion.
Grace gave courage when resources were few.
Grace inspired resilience when obstacles stood tall.
Grace provided strength when the road seemed long.

Empowerment has been at the center of this journey. Empowerment means creating opportunities where there were none. It means equipping individuals with knowledge, skills, and confidence to shape their own futures. It means transforming limitations into possibilities and aspirations into accomplishments.

Over the past decade, lives have been changed. Individuals have discovered their potential. Communities have grown stronger. Leaders have emerged. Dreams that once seemed distant have become tangible realities. The ripple effect of empowerment has extended far beyond what we first imagined.
But empowerment is not only about programs or initiatives—it is about people. It is about believing in someone before they believe in themselves. It is about offering guidance, support, and a platform for growth. It is about standing together and saying, “You can, and you will.”

As we celebrate ten years of YAWC Network, we also recognize that growth has not been accidental. It required dedication, collaboration, and unwavering commitment. It demanded visionaries who dared to begin, supporters who remained faithful, and participants who embraced opportunity with determination. Together, these elements formed a foundation strong enough to sustain a decade of impact.
Yet even as we celebrate the past, we look toward the future.

Ten years is not a destination—it is a launching point. The same grace that carried us through the first chapter will guide the next. The lessons learned will shape greater strategies. The victories achieved will inspire bolder ambitions.
“Thus Far by Grace” is both a reflection and a promise. It acknowledges the divine favor and collective effort that have brought us to this moment. And it commits us to continue empowering, uplifting, and transforming lives in the years ahead.
The journey continues.
The mission remains strong.
The vision grows clearer.
And with gratitude for the past and hope for the future, we declare confidently: thus far by grace—and forward in empowerment.

Happy 10th anniversary to the Young African Women Congress (YAWC) Network.
