Under my humble auspices a delegation of Nananom( Chiefs) from the Agogo traditional council and family of Nana Kwame Akuoko Sarpong paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Interior Honourable Muntaka Mohamed and the Chairman of the Council of state Honourable Doe Adjaho to officially inform them about the passing of Nana Akuoko Sarpong ,Agogomanhene and officially invite them to the one week observance on the 4th June

Nana Akuoko Sarpong served as a Minister of Interior and also a member of the Council of state .

The minister of Interior Honourable Muntaka Mohammed and the Chairman of the Council of State Honourable Doe Adjaho expressed their deepest condolences and appreciates the impact of Nana Kwame Akuoko Sarpong and described him as a pillar of leadership.

Last Monday members of the funeral planning committee/Nananom from Agogo Traditional council joined me in Kumasi to pay a courtesy call on the Mayor of Kumasi ,Mr Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi who recieved briefing on behalf of the Asante Regional Minister ,Dr.Frank Amoakohene about the passing of Nana Akuoko Sarpong, Agogomanhene and an invitation to the one week observance.

Together we serve to protect and to uphold the legacy of Nana Agogomanhene.

Earlier today we paid a courtesy call on the National President of the Ghana Bar Association Mrs.Efua Ghartey to inform her about the passing of Nana Akuoko Sarpong Esq.Agogomanhene and to invite her and the entire legal fraternity to the one week observance on the 4th of June 2026.
Mrs.Ghartey expressed her deepest condolences and made it known,she once served on a board with Nana Akuoko Sarpong and that his work ethics and leadership was unprecedented, a man so selfless and passionate about Ghana .

Late in the day at the Jubilee house the Chief of Staff of the Republic of Ghana Hon.Julious Debrah also received briefing of the passing of Nana Akuoko Sarpong on behalf of the President,H.E John Dramani Mahama and an invitation to the one week observance.
Hon.Julious Debrah expressed his heartfelt condolences on behalf of the president and also appreciate the contribution and the impact of Nana Akuoko Sarpong on the NDC party and Ghana at-large.

I led a delegation of the funeral planning committee and in my capacity as chairman of the various sub committees we paid a curtesy call on Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia, National Chairman of the ruling NDC party , at the Party's National headquarters in Accra to inform him and party Executives about the passing of Agogomanhene, Nana Kwame Akuoko Sarpong and also to invite him and the NDC community to the one week Observane of Agogomanhene on June 4th at Agogo.

We also paid a courtesy on the president of the Old Vandals Association (OVA) of the University of Ghana Commonwealth Hall of which Nana Akuoko Sarpong was the first Chief vandal was also briefed and invited him and the entire vandal fraternity to the one week observance

The Chief Justice ,Justice Paul Baffoe Bonnie and the Inspector of Ghana Police (IGP) have been dully informed about the the passing of Agogomanhene Nana Kwame Akuoko Sarpong and invited to the one week funeral observance on the 4th of June 2026.

Nana was an astute lawyer and great mentor to many in the law fraternity and the need to inform and invite the chief Justice and the entire Judiciary to mourn with us.
And as a former minister of Interior the security agencies including the police service is paramount.

The chief Justice and the IGP has pledged their support towards the family ,the tradition council and Agogoman in this deficult time of mourning a true statesman Nana Kwame Akuoko Sarpong.

Under my humble auspices as the cordinator and chairman of the various funeral sub committees overseeing the funeral arrangements of Agogomanhene Nana Kwame Akuoko Sarpong.

I arranged for appointments for a delegation of Nananom and our beloved Queen mother of Agogo to inform and also invite the Vice president of Ghana Jane Nana Opoku Agyemang,former presidents John Agyekum Kufuor,Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo and Dr.Mahamadu Bawumia,former vice president of the passing of Nana Akuoko Sarpong and the one week funeral observance which falls on the 4th June 2026.

I honored an invitation to an executive dinner ball to celebrate the pillar of peace of His Royal Majesty Oumfuor Osei Tutu II at the Manyhia palace ,Kumasi.
This historic occasion marks 27 years of his reign on the throne.

Special guest of honor was Olu of the Warri Kingdom, Ogiame Atuwatse III and his wife

Present at the hosting were representative of President John Dramani Mahama ,Nana Oye BAMPOE Addo Deputy chief of staff and other government appointees ,former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast, Sir Sam Jonah, and other dignitaries.

Good Leadership is building bridges and not walls and to promote peace and stability which enhances nation building and development ,a hall mark of Asantehene Otumfuor Osei Tutu II

It was indeed a night of glitz and glam celebrating the peace and dialogue of the occupant of the golden stool Asantehene Otumfuor Osei Tutu which transcends politics.
