🚌 Further update on the number 1 bus❗ Following our work over the last few days North Yorkshire Police - York have confirmed their engagement with First Bus to resolve the issues and to get services resumed.
Specifically the police have told us that for incidents already reported to them:
"We've requested and reviewed CCTV from the buses and have identified a number of those involved. We've taken positive action where possible and will continue to do so if any further offences are identified."
"We've also been carrying out patrols in Chapelfields around the bus timetable to provide reassurance and deter further issues. Encouragingly, there haven't been any further reports since these patrols started."
"We'll continue to keep an eye on the situation and stay in contact with First Bus. We've also reinforced the importance of reporting incidents to us, particularly where route changes are being made because of anti social behaviour."
