🌿 Another great job completed by our Estates Team! 👏
Despite the pouring rain 🌧️, two of our Estates Team were out this morning dealing with a willow tree that had snapped and was overhanging the path at Birchfield Park.
The team quickly made the area safe and cleared the obstruction, helping to keep our paths safe and accessible for everyone. 🌳

A very successful Produce show was held this weekend at Milford Milford Community Hall. This show included a harvest festival and the Best Kept Allotment competition, with a range of fantastic entries from the allotment community with all ages and levels of experience represented. More pictures to follow. Thanks to our RHS judge Lesley Jelleyman for kindly judging and awarding prizes.

Another busy event last night at Ninesprings Cafe. Yeovil Country Park. BA20 1QZ with our railway event, over 50 attendees meant standing room only. Wonderful model layouts and exhibits from able2achieve, Yeovil Railway Centre, and South Somerset Heritage Collection. Fascinating talk from Phil at Aarchive Films showing restored pictures of the railway which once ran through YEOVIL COUNTRY PARK. Lots of stories including a couple of school friends reunited after many years at the event and a family member from the station masters house! We were surprised what a popular event it was, and are already planning the next... in a bigger venue! The Yeovil Town Council parks are busy this week! We had the 4th very popular play day yesterday at Birchfield, the 'give it a try' orienteering event with The Quantock Orienteers was held on Saturday, and tomorrow - Wednesday 26th - we host a new free event; Yeovil On Track. A celebration of the railways of Yeovil, 6.30-8pm with archive pictures from our guest speaker, model railways, plus more! Tea & coffee available. (Ninesprings cafe closes at 6, there will not be access to the event until 6.30)

Play Day at Milford Community Hall yesterday was very busy and full of fun, with free activities, and the launch of our Milford play consultation. Lots of people came with their ideas about what Milford needs.

Recently the original play castle had become unsafe and sadly had to be removed, but the good news is we are going to replace it with something else equally - if not more - fun!

Look out for us with the suggestion boards at other Milford events where you can give us your ideas of what you would like to see there. We do have a limited budget but want to use that to put in place exciting new play structures to make Milford Park amazing! Thanks to Abri Housing for their support with this.
