(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES AND CYCLISTS) 2026

Notice is hereby given that the North Somerset Council under section 14(1), (a) and in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended will, by virtue of this Notice for a period of up to 5 days commencing on the 07 September 2026, temporarily to vehicles and cyclists, the length of roads specified in the schedule to this notice. The closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 5 working days in duration between the hours of 08:30-15:30.

The above restriction is necessary to complete carriageway patching.

North Somerset Council Fully Funded Business Support at Yatton Library 29th September, (booking required).

The Hive, North Somerset’s business support service, is offering free, fully funded one-to-one sessions at Yatton Library. These sessions are funded by North Somerset Council and are open to both pre-start and existing (trading) businesses across North Somerset.

What to expect:
The way it works is that clients book a 30-minute session with a business adviser via our booking platform. During the session, the adviser gets to understand their needs and then direct them either to other the hive advisers or to external partners who can support their next steps. All ongoing hive advice appointments and hive workshops are fully funded.

Cadbury Hill Cattle Returning to Graze.
In compliance with the Parish Council's Higher Level Stewardship Agreement there will be cattle grazing on the top of the hill from the middle of the week commencing 17th August 2026. They will remain on the hill as long as the grazing lasts but will be removed, at the latest by 31st October 2026. If you are dog walking, please clear up after your dog and keep them under close control.
