This week is Dementia Action Week, 18-24th May.

There are currently around 1 million people in the UK with a diagnosis of dementia.

This week shines a light on those who support, campaign for, know of, or are living with this condition. It highlights the realities of dementia and appeals for better treatments, care and support.

Our libraries support those living with dementia, their families and careers, by offering inclusive community spaces, extensive resources and Reading Well for dementia books, that give guidance, lived experiences and support for professionals. All free to borrow.

Visit your local library for more information, or find out more on the Alzheimer's Society website, linked in the comment section below.
