We are looking for donations of new Toys, Books, gift sets and toiletries from birth up to age 16 for boys and girls.

All donated gifts will go to local families

Reform Flintshire County Cllrs this morning asking the majority of the questions, scrutinising the reports at the Housing and Communities Committee.

Although, I'm not a member of that committee I was permitted to ask a question 😉

My question to the Administration and to the Cabinet member

Now that it would appear that 3 of the homes in the small village of Gronant are to taken up by The Home Office and Clearsprings( they wanted all 13 but they only are supposed to be taking 3, which is 3 too many anyway)

Q. Have Flintshire County Council approached the landlord to ask if they could use the other 10 available to house, local families from the area who are currently sat on the waiting list.

The reply the first time didn't give a clear answer, so I asked again.

Q.Can you confirm if you have approached the landlord to see if the council could use the new build homes for local residents of the village...

The answer was NO, they had not!

Over 2,000 residents on the waiting list and nobody had given this a thought.

Request going in, this hedgerow needs lowering for visibility and safety.

I'd really like to see this project actually finished but until Hynet are finished, it seems unlikely.

Anyway with the darker nights heading in and schools going back shortly, the focus is now on the height of the hedgerow and getting the brambles cut back.
