Tommy Glynn Memorial Armistice Display at Newlands

Tommy Glynn Memorial Armistice Display at Newlands Staff Sergeant Tommy Glynn had a huge desire to remember the fallen, and took great pride in creating an Armistice display.

We'd like to encourage as many people to help create ONE more display for Tommy - bigger and better just as he'd have wanted it! During his final years, Tommy worked at Newlands Care Centre in Workington, where he loved spending time in the gardens and outdoor spaces. Tommy took great pride in creating an Armistice Display on the grass banks on the corner of the home on the Newlands Lane / High St

reet sides. Tommy was passionate about his time spent with the Royal Engineers and was the Branch Secretary of the West Cumberland branch of the Royal Engineers Association. We are trying to create ONE more display for Tommy - and are looking for anyone who can help with this project. Whether this be knitting poppies (which are to be tied to a net), supplying Military flags, painting, or helping in any other way possible.......please get in touch

We appreciate a lot of people help create numerous Armistice displays locally, and we'd like to start early to do Tommy proud
