FBC Centre, Gorse Ride North, Finchampstead, Wokingham RG40 4ES

The coffee mornings and SENDIASS drop-ins are open to all Wokingham Borough parent carers of children and young people aged 0–25 with any special educational need and/or disability – no formal diagnosis required.

✨ What’s on offer?
🔸A cuppa and a friendly chat
🔸Support, signposting and information
🔸The chance to connect with other families
🔸One-to-one support from a SENDIASS advisor if required

👉 No appointment needed to speak to SENDIASS – sessions are first-come, first-served, with sessions usually lasting around 20 minutes

For our Reading families - make sure you have your say on the proposed new post 16 school transport policy!

A consultation has been published on proposed changes to the Post-16 Transport Policy.

The proposals aim to ensure that children and young people can access education while promoting independence, preparing young people for adulthood and making the best use of public resources.

The Council is seeking views of children and young people, parents and carers, schools, colleges and other stakeholders on several changes, including:
➡️ Introduction of proposed charges in certain circumstances, together with clearer information about when charges may apply
➡️ Wider use of Personal Transport Budgets as an alternative form of travel assistance where appropriate
➡️ Greater emphasis on independent travel and the support available from the Council, schools and colleges to help young people develop the skills and confidence needed to travel independently.

The closing date for responses is Monday 5 October 2026.
