The main process of the formulation of the Community Plan has now concluded. Thank you goes to those members of the community who formed the Steering Group and helped to put together the final Executive Summary and Action Plan. The Action Plan was adopted by Wincanton Town Council at their last meeting on 6th October 2025. These documents will now be used to update the Town Councils Strategic Plan.

Wincanton Town Council are working with the Community Council for Somerset (CCS) to undertake a Community Review to formulate an up to date Community Plan for Wincanton. The project will involve consultation with Wincanton residents and information gathered will help to formulate a Strategic Plan for the town council for future years. The Community Review will support Wincanton Town Council to understand its residents’ views and priorities and prove a clear understanding of the needs and any changes in your community, as well as ensuring that your community will remain healthy, sustainable and a vibrant place to live.
