The church as we know it today was originally built in the 12th century. Incidentally it is the highest church above sea level in the St. Wigginton sits on top of the Chiltern Hills at the extreme west end of Hertfordshire.

The Iain Rennie Hospice at Home (IRHH) is a registered charity offering specialist and supportive care and advice for patients with cancer and other life threatening illnesses in their homes. The charity also aims to help the relatives and those carers close to the patient during the illness and bereavement period.
The service is available 365 days a year and offers patients and carers access to specialist advice and nursing visits on a 24 hour on-call basis. The professional care and advice offered by our teams of specialist nurses provide more people with the choice to stay at home during the final stages of a terminal illness, and allow patients to achieve the best quality of life. This year IRHH nurses expect to care for over 1000 people in the Chilterns area.
