We’re proud to highlight Kane International , a Believe in Business Charter Gold Member, and a great example of a business doing the right thing by supporting local young people.

Through our Engagement Officer Stacey, Jonathan Hoole, Managing Director of Kane International, was introduced to the Enterprise Adviser role.

Kane International and Bedford High School Live have developed a strong working partnership that is making a real difference for students.

From workplace safaris to work placements, the partnership is helping young people gain valuable insight into the world of work, build confidence and develop skills for the future.

We’re working with The Healthier Wigan Partnership to better understand how alcohol is consumed across local communities, and we’d really value your input.

Share your thoughts by taking part in a short survey about alcohol consumption, buying habits and views in your area. It only takes around 10 minutes to complete, and all responses are confidential. The survey is aimed at people aged 17 and over.

Your feedback will help shape future health initiatives across Wigan.

Leigh Pride in Place Programme – Call for projects📢
💰Does your project need a share of £20 milion?

Through the Pride in Place Programme, Leigh has been awarded £20 million over the next decade. The Leigh Fund will initially focus on regeneration, high streets and heritage, and improving safety and security.

There is also a Community Fund small grants programme.

Proud to support connections like this — Fiona from our Wigan Business Team helped link ReDoo with U CIC with the Wigan Borough Communities Team to bring everyone together. 🙌

✨ Creative wellbeing in action in Wigan! ✨

Julie from our team was recently introduced to Lisa and Jess from ReDoo with U CIC by Fiona from Wigan Business Team, a great example of partnership working across the borough 🤝

Julie visited their creative wellbeing workshop at Radcliffe Community Centre (RADCAT) on Seven Stars Road, and what a fantastic, busy session it was!

The group were at their creative best, upcycling clothes and transforming them into unique, wearable pieces of art 🎨👚 It’s a brilliant space where creativity, confidence, and community all come together.

Julie also had the chance to chat with the team about funding opportunities to help support and grow their amazing work.
