**FORMER GLENPARK SURGERY - Application to convert to an HMO (house of multiple occupation)**

We are pleased to advise that the planning application to turn the former Glenpark Medical Centre into an HMO has been rejected by the Council. The Reform UK group unanimously voted against while most Labour members abstained. There were 3 votes in favour of the application including one Labour councillor, 1 Green and one Liberal Democrat.

RESURFACING OF WHICKHAM FRONT STREET

Commencing on Monday 7th September and carrying on over 5 nights (weather permitting), Front Street will be being resurfaced. The stretch concerned is approximately from St Mary’s Green to Church Green.

Road closures will be in place from 630pm to 600am. Diversions will be in force from:

* Rectory Lane junction eastwards along Front Street
* From The Square, westwards along Front Street
* Rectory Lane/Whaggs Lane southwards
