Have you heard of Weymouth's 'famous dripping well'?
It's on the Rodwell Trail, between Buxton Road and Wyke Road.
This is a petrifying well. This means anything dripped on will, in time, become covered in mineral deposits.
The water used to flow underground towards Rodwell but its route was interrupted when the railway cutting was dug, in the 1860s.
It's a local feature to look out for when you next walk or cycle along the trail.
