‼️ Village defibrillator notice

In the event that a defibrillator is required for paediatrics, please use the devices located at West Linton pharmacy and Hotspur football club.

The defibrillator at the golf club is currently only suitable for adults, as child pads are currently on back order. These are due for delivery over the coming days.

We will post a further update as soon as the device is fully operational again.

Please note, we also carry a defibrillator on the fire appliance. In the event of a cardiac arrest emergency, please call 999.

Wildfire alert for Eastern Scotland

A very high wildfire risk is in place from tomorrow, 29 May to Monday, 1 June.

Today, a very high risk of wildfire warning is also in place for South West Scotland.

Wildfires can cause serious harm to homes, natural landscapes, and wildlife. Taking simple steps can help reduce the risk and prevent severe damage.

What a fantastic turnout for our Open Day yesterday!

On behalf of the whole team, we want to say a big thank you to everyone who came along to help us celebrate 70 years of West Linton Fire Station! We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did.

An event like this takes a village, and we want to extend a special thanks to:

Chris & the team at Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Tollcross Fire Station for arranging the incredible High Reach appliance.

Doughvincheese for keeping everyone fed with amazing pizzas.

Police Scotland Lothians & Scottish Borders & Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue for joining us and showcasing their vital work.

Face Painting with Jenna for bringing so much colour and smiles to the kids.

We are incredibly proud to have served this community for the last 70 years. Thank you for making our anniversary so memorable, and for raising £375 to support the Firefighters Charity and provide funds for the ongoing maintenance of the village defibrillators.

The countdown is officially on for the West Linton Fire Station Spring Open Day, celebrating 70 years of our station.

The sun is forecast to shine, and we have a brilliant morning planned for the whole community.

Bring the family down this Sunday, 24th May, from 10am to 1pm for a fantastic day out.
