🚓 A great day engaging with the community! 🚓

Despite the on and off weather today, PCSO Quirke and PCSO Bolger have been out engaging with the community throughout the day, starting the morning at Warwick Market.
It was great to speak with local residents, traders and visitors, and hear about any local concerns.

The afternoon took them to the “Pursuits Festival” in St Nicks Park, where they enjoyed the fantastic community spirit… and met some 'larger than life' characters along the way!

It’s always great to see so many people out and about supporting local events, whatever the weather.

As always, if you see us out and about, please feel free to come and have a chat.

This evening Warwick Safer Neighbourhood Team were joined by PC Pearson from Response to visit the Cubs at the 7th Warwick (Woodloes) Scout Group.
We discussed the many different roles within the Police and showed a variety of equipment that we use.
Topics covered were stranger danger and the difference between calling 999 or 101.
Some great questions were asked and hopefully they enjoyed it as much as we did!

Day of Action Update – Warwick & Leamington.

It’s been a busy one for officers today… and not in a “queueing for coffee” kind of way.

This afternoon, as part of our Day of Action, officers arrested a Warwick male for multiple shoplifting offences across the area. He’s now in custody, helping us with our enquiries....

And just when our Leamington Police friends thought they were clocking off for the day… The Shires had other ideas. After reports of someone up to no good in one of the stores, officers stepped in and made another arrest.

Two arrests, one evening, and a clear message — if you’re planning on shoplifting in Warwick district… think again (especially when we even put it on Facebook earlier)

We’ll keep working hard to support local businesses and keep our communities safe.

We’re out across Warwick & Leamington today running a shoplifting operation 🛍️ and looking to offer some advice around business crime.
Some of us are in plain clothes, some in hi-vis… so today’s challenge is simple:
👉 Spot the officer before they spot you 👀

If you’re out shopping and paying properly (top choice 👍), have a great day and give us a wave if you see us...

If you’re thinking about not paying for your shopping.
Let’s just say… we might already be browsing the same aisle 😏

Can you help us to find 47-year-old Stuart who has gone missing.

Stuart lives in but was last seen in on Thursday.

He is 6ft 2in with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a green jacket, blue jeans and a black t-shirt.

We’re growing increasing concerned for Stuart’s welfare and urge anyone who sees him to contact us on 999.

Any other information that might help officers locate him can be provided via our website www.warwickshire.police.uk/report or by calling 101.

🚨 Safety Reminder – St Nicholas Park 🚨
We’re aware of ongoing incidents involving people jumping from bridges into the river at St Nicholas Park over the last few days and going forward into the summer.

Our officers are carrying out regular patrols in the area to monitor the situation and provide reassurance. However, there are limited enforcement options available unless specific offences are being committed.

That said, this behaviour poses a serious risk to personal safety. Water depth can vary, hidden hazards may be present, and cold water shock can occur even in warmer weather.

While enjoying the park, we’d also ask everyone to be mindful of their surroundings — keep noise levels reasonable, take litter home or use the bins provided, and be respectful of others who are using the space.

We would strongly urge anyone visiting the park to think carefully about the risks and help keep themselves and others safe.

Thank you to everyone who continues to enjoy the park responsibly. 🌳

We are looking for witnesses following a robbery which took place at a convenience store on Emscote Road on 6 May.

It was reported that at 8:00am, a man in a balaclava has entered the store and threatened a store worker with a knife.

After grabbing the till tray, he has then left the store, escaping over a nearby bridge towards Leamington Spa with around £300 worth of cash.

He was wearing a full balaclava, black jacket, grey jogging bottoms, grey trainers with black laces, and orange and black work gloves.

He was also carrying a black duffle bag.

If you saw something around this time and area that could help with our investigations, contact us on 101 or through our web reporting tool (link in the comments) citing Incident 109 of 6 May.

You can also make an anonymous report through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

With today being the hottest ever day in May on record, we know you've all been trying to find ways to stay cool.

As much as it can be tempting to jump in and swim in areas of open water like the river in St Nicks Park, please remember it comes with many dangers.

Even when outdoor temperatures are high, water can still be extremely cold and cause shock, which can quickly lead to drowning. There are also hidden dangers beneath the surface including sudden drops, poor visibility and discarded objects that can trap or injure swimmers.

Please enjoy the nice weather, but stay safe and don't swim in open water unless it's a designated and supervised swimming area.

Check out the link below for more water safety information from the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS):

An average of 328 UK and Irish Citizens lose their life to accidental drowning EVERY YEAR and many more have non-fatal experiences, sometimes suffering life-changing injuries.* At the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK), we work tirelessly to educate people to enjoy water safely, to keep their fa...
