It is with mixed feelings and sadness that we will not be opening our garden for charity events this year or probably in future years, too.

Our last open weekend in October 2022 was very enjoyable and extremely successful, including a new autumn high of 860 visitors during that weekend raising £4,216 for the National Garden Scheme charity. Our spring open weekend in May 2019, before Covid arrived in UK, was also very successful, including a new high for a spring weekend of 1,080 visitors,

We realised that to continue our open days into the years ahead will be unsustainable, since there is an increasing risk that at some unpredictable time ahead we might not be able to manage very busy open days.

Therefore, recently we decided it would be better to cease holding new charity open days whilst everything has been going well! …..rather than wait for inevitable difficulties that will arise sooner or later!

Sorry for the disappointment.

Open Days

Saturday and Sunday 22/23 October 2022
10am-5pm
Admission £5 adults, children free

There is no pre-booking and it will be just fine for you to turn up and pay on the day. Due to our relatively long opening hours visitors arrive at different times spread across the day and our garden has never been too crowded even on the busiest of open days.

We were honoured to be filmed in September by South Korean TV and the programme has just been broadcast in Korea. They also went to the Eden Project. The UK segment is at the beginning of the programme, and our garden is shown right at the beginning.

What an amazing day for our Four Seasons Garden that we created! We feel extremely honoured to have been invited to share our garden with Beautiful News and so many people in South Africa and beyond!

In May we were contacted by Beautiful News in South Africa. This is a news platform that seeks to tell positive and inspiring stories to keep our global community feeling proud, inspired and motivated to create positive change in their world.

Normally, they feature South African initiatives but, because of the horrors of the pandemic and having seen some drone footage of our garden, they said that they were very interested in featuring an uplifting story about us. We provided them with photos and videos and were recorded via Zoom.

Beautiful News releases a 1-minute video every day at a timeslot (4.14pm SA time) that recognises the moment Nelson Mandela was released from prison.

Today we have received the message below:

“I'm contacting you from Beautiful News.
"The film we shot with you will be going live on Tuesday 21 July 2020 on our website (https://www.beautifulnews.com/) and our social channels Facebook (https://bit.ly/2OdY3PX) and Instagram (http://bit.ly/2dFiVzX). Please see below all the activity that will take place on the day.

"If any media platforms (radio / TV / print / online etc.) contact you for interviews directly as a result of the Beautiful News film, please do let us know. We'd really appreciate if in such cases you can encourage audiences to view the film and visit the Beautiful News platform - https://www.beautifulnews.com/ Please let us know so we can track these mentions."

Beautiful News is reframing our world every day at 4:14pm. Since our launch in 2016, we have shared hundreds of positive stories and inspired countless individuals.
