Good afternoon.

Middlestown Cemetery isn't for exercising your dogs , it's a place of rest and peace and for families to visit their loved ones. We have absolutely no problem you taking your dogs on a lead through the Cemetery or to visit a loved ones grave, but we will not tolerate exercising of dogs on consecrated ground.
We have had reports of numerous piles of dog poo being left on the grass, this is not acceptable and there is certainly no excuses for not picking it up.
Please respect the Cemetery and pick up after your dogs.
Thank you

🐕 Important Request to Dog Owners 🐕

Please can all dog owners keep their dogs on leads whilst in Middlestown Cemetery.

We have received reports of dog fouling on memorial headstones, which is completely unacceptable. 💩

The cemetery is a place of remembrance and reflection for many families. We ask that all visitors show respect for the graves and memorials of loved ones. ❤️

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

📢 Have Your Say – New Benches for Overton & Middlestown 📢

The Parish Council is looking at possible locations for new public benches in Overton and Middlestown and would like to hear residents' views.

The initial suggested locations are:

🪑 Bottom of Green Lane (on the grassed area)🪑 Bottom of Ramsey Road🪑 Bottom of Footpath 24 / Bridleway New Hall

Do you support any of these locations? Are there other places where you think a bench would be beneficial for walkers, residents, or visitors?

We would welcome your suggestions and comments. Please let us know where you think benches would be most useful and why.

Thank you for helping us improve our local community spaces.

Help support important research into hedgerows across the UK

We’ve been asked to share a questionnaire as part of an ongoing academic study into people’s knowledge and use of hedgerows. The research has grown from an MSc project in Surrey into a PhD study now expanding nationally, and your input would be extremely valuable.

Hedgerows are an important part of our landscape, supporting wildlife, biodiversity, and traditional countryside heritage, but understanding how they are used and valued today is key to future conservation and planning.

If you have a few minutes, please consider taking part in the questionnaire below and sharing it within your allotment associations and networks:

Thank you for supporting research that helps build a better understanding of our natural environment.
