Apprentice Support Worker

Role Overview
As an Apprentice Support Worker, you will support individuals with daily living tasks while working towards a recognised Health & Social Care qualification. You will promote independence, dignity, and a high standard of care.

Key Responsibilities

* Support with personal care, meals, and daily routines
* Encourage independence and community involvement
* Monitor wellbeing and report any concerns
* Follow safeguarding and care plans
* Complete training and coursework as part of the apprenticeship

Skills & Qualities

* Caring, reliable, and willing to learn
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Positive and respectful attitude

Requirements

* No experience needed – full training provided
* Willingness to complete apprenticeship qualification
* Enhanced DBS required

Support workers.
To work in one of our 5 homes based around Denham.
In a supported living service providing 24-hour support within our group of homes. At Poppy Cottage we are proud of supporting adults with disabilities to give them the platform to leading independent lives. We help them to get the most out of life, with day to day activities such as planning meals and finances to accessing community activities and employment, as well as being there to listen. In return, we’ll give you all the training, support and development opportunities you need to make the most of this rewarding role.
About our jobs.
* To support service users,
* Promote good practice, undertake medication duties, including administration and recording
* To be responsible for handling of service users finances in line with support plans.
* Support service users to maintain their home environment
* Participate in improving the quality of service experienced by the people we support.
About you:
* The ability to reflect on your own experiences and practice to build professional relationships with service users, family carers and other agencies in order to understand the needs and rights of each individual.
* Confident in the use of a computer to organise and record information clearly and accurately.
* Always aware of risks and how they can be minimised ensuring the health and safety of colleagues and the people you support.
* We do pay per shift and no travel time will be deducted.
