At My Little Angels Day Nursery in Upminster it is our aim is to provide the highest-level quality of care and education for young children. Tonight at 7pm, we light up our tree for the Wave of Light 🕯️🤍

Seeing all the beautiful ribbons hanging from the branches, each with a name, a message or a special memory, is really quite emotional.

Every ribbon represents a little life that is so loved and will never be forgotten. 🤍

Baby Loss Awareness Week is something very close to our hearts here at My Little Angels, and we wanted to create a little space where families could remember their babies and know they are not alone.

Thank you to everyone who has added a ribbon, shared a memory or taken a moment to stop and reflect. It really does mean so much.

Our lights will stay on throughout the night, shining for all the babies who are loved, missed and remembered every single day. ✨

For all the little lives that left the biggest footprints on our hearts. 🤍

🌧️ Rainy days don’t stop us from moving!

Before settling down for story time today, we needed to burn off a little extra energy… so out came the inflatable bats and Danny Go’s Gorilla Smash! 🦍

The children listened to the music and followed the beat, pounding the floor in time and changing their movements along with the song.

Such a simple activity, but great for rhythm and beat, listening and attention, coordination, gross motor skills and following instructions.

And most importantly… lots of energy burnt off before we attempted story time! 😂📚

Teamwork at Forest School this morning! 🌿🪵

The children worked together to build their very own den, carrying branches, sharing ideas and figuring out the best way to make their structure strong.

Such a simple activity, but so much learning happening. Teamwork, communication, problem solving, physical development and lots of determination!

We love seeing what they can achieve when they work together 🤎🌳

🥕 Harvest Festival 🥕

Today the children have been busy cutting vegetables as part of our Harvest Festival activities.

Something as simple as chopping vegetables has so many benefits! It teaches children how to safely prepare food and builds their confidence and independence.

It’s also great for developing the strength in their hands and fingers, as well as their coordination and control – all really important skills they will later need for writing ✏️

Lots of learning from a simple everyday activity ❤️

Yesterday, the children got creative decorating their very own lanterns! 🏮✨

This activity was lots of fun, but also supported so many important skills. Carefully picking up and placing the craft materials helped strengthen the children’s **fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination**, building those little hand muscles needed for early writing.

The lanterns also moved as the children worked and were quite delicate, so they had to use **careful, controlled movements** to decorate them without ripping the paper. This encouraged **focus, attention, patience and coordination** throughout the activity.

Lots of creativity, concentration and learning through play! 🤍

🌿 Our little explorers are really finding their feet at Forest School and it’s been lovely to see how settled and confident they’re becoming!

This week we introduced our hammock 💤 which was a big hit, and started building on our outdoor art area 🎨

The children made their own paints using mud and water, then swapped paintbrushes for leaves and branches to create their masterpieces! 🍃🖌️

Lots of exploring, experimenting and getting wonderfully messy along the way! 🌳❤️

From choosing stories at the library before heading to the park for a picnic, to watching the planes come and go at the aerodrome with beans on toast to finish! Food🍽️

Sliding into the new term 😂🛝💦

The heavy rain this morning meant the children quickly worked out that waterproof suits + a wet slide = going VERY fast 😂

Obviously we had to take it one step further and add some soap 🫧 and that was pretty much our morning sorted!

Soggy children, lots of laughs and making the most of the rain 🌧️🤍

One last special moment from our Graduation Day. 💚
Our children wanted to say a little thank you in the best way they know how... by singing! They worked so hard learning this song, and we hope it brings a smile to your face.
To all of our graduates, thank you for letting us be part of your journey. Watching you grow has been an absolute privilege, and we couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of you.
Good luck on your next adventure – we’ll miss you all so much. Once a Little Angels child, always part of our family. 🌿
