Our vision is that no older or vulnerable person in the Cotswolds is lonely or isolated We can also offer Community Transport in the Cirencester area.

We are a local charity providing friendship, support and transport to older and vulnerable people in the North Cotswold community. We aim to combat loneliness and isolation with our voluntary services, which improve health and wellbeing and support independent living. Our seven services offer Community Transport, Befriending, Carer Support, Independence Support, Hospital Support, Community Activities and Intergenerational Projects. If you would like to know more, or think we might be able to help you or someone you know, please do get in touch. Could you volunteer? We always need more volunteers so if you are looking for a volunteering role to support your local Community we would be delighted to talk to you. Your commitment can be as little as an hour a week, or more if you have the time. We would like to thank all of our funders and sponsors and everyone who fundraises for the organisation, making it possible for Cotswold Friends to deliver services to the North Cotswold and Cirencester communities that support over 2,000 older and vulnerable people.

🌿🎉 Join us for the Grand Re-Opening of our Community Garden! 🎉🌿

We’re excited to officially open our new Community Garden on:

This special afternoon marks an exciting new chapter — creating a welcoming green space where people can come together to grow, learn, connect, and enjoy the outdoors 🌱💚

We’re also incredibly honoured to welcome Kevin Fortey of Giant Veg as our Guest of Honour! Kevin is one of the UK’s leading giant vegetable growers and holds an amazing 14 Guinness World Records, including the world’s heaviest beetroot weighing nearly 24kg 🤯🥬

Come along to celebrate with us, meet members of the community, and discover the incredible possibilities of growing together.

🐦💚 A brilliant day bringing generations together! 💚🐦

Last Friday, we welcomed pupils from St Catherine’s Primary School to our Men in Sheds in Chipping Campden for a special community project.

The pupils have been tasked with painting 22 handmade birdboxes, ready to bring life, colour and creativity to these future bird homes 🎨

It was a wonderful day of connection — introducing the children to the skills and creativity of Men in Sheds, while sharing stories, laughter, and learning across generations.

A huge thank you to everyone involved — we can’t wait to see the finished birdboxes out in the community! 🌿

🎶💜 A wonderful evening for a great cause! 💜🎶

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday for the Blockley Ladies Choir concert — it was a fantastic night filled with music, community spirit, and plenty of smiles.

We’re delighted to share that the event raised an amazing £286 in support of Cotswold Friends 👏

🌿💚 Getting ready for the new season! 💚🌿

A huge thank you to our wonderful Community Garden volunteers who did a fantastic job hosting two corporate volunteers, from Spirax Sarco, on Wednesday. Together, they gave the summer house a fresh coat of paint — all ready for the months ahead ☀️

All of this hard work is part of our preparations for the Community Garden re-opening on 27th May… the countdown is officially on ⏳🌿
